About WP-Lister Pro for Amazon
Two warehouses that are really one
The problem appears the first day you sell on your own site and on Amazon at once. You have three units of an item. Somebody buys one on Amazon and your site still says there are three. Somebody buys two on your site and Amazon still advertises three.
The consequence is the worst there is in this business: selling something you no longer have. On your own site that is an apology and a refund. On Amazon it is a cancellation blamed on you, which directly penalises your seller account, and those penalties accumulate towards suspension.
WP-Lister Pro connects your WooCommerce catalogue with your Amazon inventory so that mismatch does not happen.
What it does
- Lists your WooCommerce products on Amazon from the WordPress admin, without re-entering them by hand.
- Synchronises inventory both ways when a sale happens on either side.
- Creates the order in WooCommerce when the sale happens on Amazon, so all the handling stays in one panel.
- Adjusts prices automatically to sit below the competition, within the minimum and maximum you set.
- Supports Amazon fulfilment, so orders placed on your site or on eBay get shipped by Amazon from their warehouse.
Automatic repricing deserves its own paragraph
It is the most powerful feature and the one that does most damage misconfigured. Automatically dropping to sit below a competitor works until the competitor does the same, and then the two programmes chase each other downwards until they hit whatever floor each has set.
Which is why the number that matters is not the maximum: it is the minimum. And that minimum has to be worked out with Amazon's commission inside it, with the shipping cost inside it and with tax inside it. A minimum set by eye is an automated way of selling at a loss on every unit at once.
Requirements
It needs WordPress and WooCommerce, and above all a professional Amazon seller account, which carries a monthly fee and is the one giving access to the programming interface. With an individual account this does not work.
A note in the interest of transparency: the maker has long kept a beta label on the Amazon side, although the plugin has been in real use for years and is on mature versions. Worth knowing, and worth testing with a few product codes before pushing the whole catalogue across.
What to decide before selling on Amazon
It is not a technical decision and it matters more than the plugin. On Amazon the customer is not yours: they are Amazon's. You do not get their email, you cannot write to them afterwards, and the next time they want what you sell they will look on Amazon, not on your site.
In exchange you get immediate access to a volume of traffic that would take years to build. It is a reasonable trade made with your eyes open: Amazon for volume and discovery, your own site for margin and for the customer who comes back.
Alternatives in the catalogue
From the same maker, WP-Lister Pro for eBay does the same with eBay, the platform this product started on and where it has the most history.
If you sell in Latin America, the marketplace that matters is a different one: Woomelly connects WooCommerce with Mercado Libre and synchronises products, prices, stock and orders exactly as this one does with Amazon.
And there are two cases often confused with this one. If you do not sell your own product but recommend Amazon's for a commission, that is AAWP, which builds product tables and comparisons. And if rather than selling in somebody else's marketplace you want your own with several sellers, HivePress Marketplace is that piece.
Frequently asked questions
Will an individual seller account do?
No. A professional account is required, as that is what gives programming interface access.
Do Amazon orders arrive in WooCommerce?
Yes, they get created as orders, so handling stays centralised.
Does stock synchronise by itself?
Yes, both ways, and it is the main reason for using it.
What is automatic repricing?
Lowering the price to sit below the competitor within the minimum and maximum you define.
Can Amazon ship my website orders?
Yes, it supports Amazon fulfilment for orders placed outside Amazon.
Do I keep the customer data?
Not from the sale made on Amazon. That customer belongs to the platform, not to you.
