About Advanced AMP ADS
An AMP page loads fast and Google serves it to plenty of people on mobile, but if that version has no ads, those visits earn you nothing. It happens on many ad-funded sites: the main version is full of ad blocks while the AMP version, often the first one readers see, comes out empty.
Every AMP visit can earn money too
The AMP version of a site is a simplified copy of your articles, so it easily loses the part that pays the bills. Advanced AMP ADS is an add-on for that AMP version (used with AMP for WordPress) that places ads directly inside the content. It doesn't change what you write: it adds ad blocks inside the content.
Choose between which paragraphs each ad appears
An ad stuck at the very top drives readers away, and one at the bottom is barely seen. Here you decide where to cut:
- Ads inside the content: they are inserted in the text.
- Number of paragraphs: you set after how many paragraphs the ad should appear, so readers can get into the article before they see advertising.
- Seven ad sizes: there are seven different sizes for the block.
With long texts it makes sense to test different positions and see which one doesn't break the reading. With short articles, a single well-placed ad is usually enough.
A sticky ad on top and any network, not just AdSense
Besides in-content ads, the plugin includes a sticky ad that stays pinned to the top while the reader scrolls. It's a more visible format, so use it carefully: on a small screen it takes up reading space.
The custom ad option (Custom AD) lets you use any ad network, not just Google's. It also supports Link Ad Units from Google AdSense. If you work with several networks or with a provider other than AdSense, this is the part that matters most to you.
Before deciding if Advanced AMP ADS fits you
This plugin doesn't give you ads or an advertising account: you need your own network and the codes it provides. It doesn't work alone either: it's an add-on for the AMP version, so without AMP for WordPress active it has nowhere to display. And if your site has no AMP version, it adds nothing. Check in the demo how the sticky ad looks on a small screen before using it.
Does it work with networks other than Google?
Yes, with the custom ad option you can use any ad network.
Can I decide where the ad appears?
Yes, you choose after how many paragraphs it is shown within the content.
