Importing products, listings or properties into WordPress is simple until your data lives in ACF fields: a repeater with variable rows, an image gallery, a relationship between content types. This add-on is the piece that connects WP All Import to those fields.
What the Advanced Custom Fields Add-On For WP All Import does with your fields
It is an add-on: it gives WP All Import the ability to fill ACF fields when you map your file's columns. It works with CSV, Excel and XML files, and the flow is the same for all of them: you choose the content type where you created the fields, upload the file and drag each piece of data to its matching field.
- Field types: repeater, flexible content, clone, relationship, post object, taxonomy, user, gallery, image, file, date, color picker, Google Map, WYSIWYG, checkbox, radio, true/false and more. Third-party fields such as Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7 or PayPal Item also appear.
- Galleries and images: they can come from your computer, another server or any URL.
- Inline PHP functions: if drag and drop is not enough, you write and test your own functions on the import edit screen to transform data on the fly.
- Scheduled imports: through the manufacturer's paid scheduling service or with cron jobs on your server.
- WPML: it lets you import ACF data into multilingual sites.
The limits matter. This add-on does not work on its own: it needs WP All Import and ACF installed, and the fields must be created before importing. Nor does it build the field structure for you: it maps data to fields that already exist. If you use a very recent or uncommon field, it may not be covered yet.

Is there a difference between importing CSV and XML?
Almost none. The plugin recognizes the file format and adapts the interface; after that you just map data to fields.
Is it useful for exporting or migrating?
Export and migration are covered by the WP All Import suite with its own add-ons. This add-on focuses on importing into ACF fields.
Can I import into a site that is not pure ACF, like WooCommerce?
Yes, WP All Import works with WooCommerce, listing or membership plugins and others; the add-on fills the ACF fields tied to that content.
What happens if ACF adds a new field?
The WP All Import team works with the ACF team to follow its changes and adapt; if a specific field is missing, check whether it is already supported for your case.
Imports with nested fields need a well-planned file
With repeaters and flexible content, the difficulty is not the plugin but how you structure the source file. An XML with repeated nodes fits a repeater naturally; a flat CSV needs you to decide how to separate multiple values. Run a test import with a few rows, check the result with ACF's get_field() function and only then launch the full file.
For posts, ACF stores data in post_meta; for everything else, in the options table. Knowing this helps you verify that each piece of data landed where you expected.
