The technical SEO WordPress does not ship with
WordPress publishes well, but it takes care of almost nothing Google needs: it does not generate a decent sitemap, it does not control head tags, it does not add structured data, and it has no idea what to do when you delete a page that was ranking. All of that has to be added.
All in One SEO fills that gap, and what separates it from the alternatives is what it includes without extra plugins: redirection management and local SEO, which elsewhere are separate products.
On-page optimisation
The TruSEO 2.0 scoring system analyses content in real time as you write, with support for more than 10 languages, and adds readability and spelling checks. It includes AI-assisted rewriting of titles, meta descriptions and headlines.
Technical SEO
- XML sitemaps generated automatically, with notification to Google, plus dedicated video and Google News sitemaps.
- IndexNow, so new pages get indexed immediately instead of waiting to be crawled.
- Robots.txt editor from the dashboard itself.
- Redirection manager, for 404 errors and for not losing rankings when a URL moves or is deleted. This is the piece other plugins charge separately for.
- Broken link detection.
- Index status checker for each post.
Structured data
A schema markup generator for star ratings, reviews, products and recipes, plus breadcrumbs. It is what makes a Google result show up with stars and a price rather than just a title.
Local SEO
Business hours, location and contact data management, with Google Maps optimisation. For a business with premises it is probably the highest-return part of the whole plugin.
