An empty intranet gets abandoned within weeks
Setting up an intranet is the easy part; getting staff to open it every morning is not. If all it holds is a notice board, people go back to their usual email and chat. An intranet survives when it solves something every day: finding a document, knowing who is in which department, seeing the next event or answering a poll.
Anesta is a theme built for that kind of internal use in companies, firms, agencies and communities. Its design is clean and aims to make access to corporate data comfortable.
Anesta puts groups, documents and polls under one roof
The theme integrates with BuddyPress and bbPress, so employees can form a community, organize into groups and departments and talk to each other. Around that it adds pieces that give people reasons to come back:
- Home dashboards: to publish events, notifications, calendars, corporate charts, news and posts.
- Documents and FAQs: every user can share reports and other files through a knowledge base plugin (Knowledge Base for Documents and FAQs).
- Internal polls: they let you consult the team and show the results in different types of chart.
- Training: with LearnDash you can offer courses to staff, free or paid, and check results with quizzes and tests.
The Events Calendar, Better Messages, rtMedia, WP Job Manager, Paid Memberships Pro, WooCommerce, WPML and Contact Form 7 are also listed as compatible, in case your project grows into an extranet for partners or clients.
Elementor for header and footer, and an internal blog with character
Pages are edited with Elementor, and so are the header and footer, so you don't depend on a developer to change the intranet's front page. It includes boxed or full-width layouts, mobile adaptation, a user menu alongside the main menu and interactive Ajax search.
For announcements and internal news there are several blog styles, entry animations, related posts, view counters, likes and share buttons. If you like to tweak things, the theme brings its own options panel and hundreds of customizer options, plus Slider Revolution and Swiper for front pages.
Decide whether Anesta is enough or your intranet needs more plugins
Anesta is a theme: the community, forums, documents and courses come from external plugins it integrates with. Without them you get the design, but not those features. LearnDash in particular does not come with the theme and must be obtained separately. Before closing the project, check in the demo which screens depend on which plugin.
Is it worth it if I only want a news board for my team?
Yes, but it is a theme with a lot of scope, designed for community and intranet use. If you only need to post notices, you will probably not use part of it.
Can I run courses for my employees without buying anything else?
No. Courses require LearnDash, which is not included.
Can I change the header and footer without coding?
Yes, they are edited with Elementor.
Does it also work for an extranet with clients or partners?
It is designed for both intranet and extranet. For restricted or paid areas you can rely on Paid Memberships Pro, which is listed as compatible.
