About Angro – WooCommerce B2B & Wholesale Theme

Selling wholesale is not a design problem, it is a permissions problem

Worth starting there because it causes the most confusion when building a B2B shop. How the site looks is the easy part. The hard part, and what makes a wholesale shop work or not, is that each visitor sees a different price depending who they are.

The large distributor has their rate. The small one has another. The end customer, if you have any, sees the catalogue price. And the unidentified visitor should see no price at all, because your wholesale terms are information your competition has no business reading.

Angro is a WooCommerce theme designed for that mix: wholesale, B2B, B2C and private buying areas inside the same shop.

What it contributes

  • A layout built for a wholesale catalogue, with dense listings rather than shop-window product cards.
  • B2B and B2C coexisting in the same shop, which is the most common case and the most awkward to solve.
  • Private buying areas within the shop itself.
  • Responsive design, which matters on restocking orders because many get placed from the warehouse with a phone in hand.

What a professional buyer needs and a theme does not give

The wholesale customer does not browse: they restock. They know what they want, they order it every month and what they value is speed. A pretty catalogue with large images wastes their time.

What genuinely serves them is four specific things, and none of them comes with the theme:

  • Prices per customer group, with an individual rate per distributor where needed.
  • An order form by product code, for entering forty lines without opening forty pages.
  • Minimums and sales multiples, because cases come in twelves and do not get broken up.
  • Tax and VAT number handling done properly, which in cross-border selling decides whether the invoice is correct.

That layer is a B2B plugin, not a theme. The theme provides the house and the plugin provides the rules.

Requirements

It needs WordPress and WooCommerce. Working as a genuine wholesaler also requires the pricing and permissions layer, and usually some form of manual approval for new accounts: in B2B not just anybody registers.

Alternatives in the catalogue

The first thing to say is that the important piece is not another theme. It is B2BKing, the sector's reference, which solves customer groups, per-group rates, minimums, hidden prices and registration with approval. Wholesale Pro by Barn2 covers the same ground with a simpler approach.

If your selling is negotiated rather than fixed-rate, then what you need is a quote instead of a cart: Request a Quote turns the buy button into a price request, which is how many industrial sectors sell.

For attracting and filtering the distributors who sign up, Wholesale Lead Capture builds the application form and the account approval.

And if you sell to businesses in other European Union countries, EU VAT and B2B handles validating the VAT number and applying the exemption where applicable. It is dull and it is what prevents an unpleasant surprise at filing time.

Frequently asked questions

Does it bring per-customer wholesale pricing?
No. The theme is the presentation; per-group pricing comes from a B2B plugin.

Can wholesale and retail coexist?
Yes, it is designed for that, which is the most frequent case.

Can prices be hidden from visitors who have not logged in?
That feature comes from the B2B layer, not the theme, and belongs there from day one.

Is it suitable for large multi-line orders?
The listing helps, but fast restocking needs an order form by product code.

How do new distributors get approved?
With registration subject to manual approval, added by a lead capture or B2B plugin.

And cross-border tax?
There are specific plugins that validate the VAT number and apply the exemption.
