About Avada Custom Branding
Your client opens the login and the first thing they see is another brand
You deliver a site built with Avada and send your client the login link. The first thing to appear is the WordPress logo. Then they reach a dashboard full of menus they do not need and a panel bearing the name of a theme they never chose. The public site holds your work, but the part the client uses every week says nothing about you.
For an agency, the first sense of ownership forms on those screens, not on the home page. Avada Custom Branding acts there, with one tab for the WordPress admin, another for the login screen, another for the Avada dashboard and a fourth for exporting the settings.
Among its tabs there are no settings for the public design of the site or for system emails.
The login screen with your logo and colors
The WP Login Screen tab changes what is visible on the way in:
- Background: color and image. The color supports transparency and overlays the image.
- Logo: replaces the WordPress one and lets you set the link and its title.
- Form: colors for the box, links and button, and an option to hide the lost password link.
- Custom CSS: for whatever the fields above do not cover.
A WordPress admin with less noise
The WP Admin tab removes the WordPress logo, Screen Options and the Help tab. It lets you hide or rename ten core menus: Dashboard, Posts, Media, Pages, Comments, Appearance, Plugins, Users, Tools and Settings.
It also replaces the admin footer text and the version beside it, hides dashboard widgets such as Quick Draft, At a Glance and Activity, and adds a welcome panel with your own title and content.
Keep in mind who it affects. Changes also apply to administrators, because that option comes enabled. If you do not want to lose sight of the menus you hide, turn it off. Administrators always have access to the branding options, and you can grant it to other roles.
The Avada dashboard under the name you choose
The Avada tab replaces the visible instances of the word Avada with the name you enter and can remove its item from the admin bar. It also lets you:
- Hide items from the dashboard's main and sticky menus, such as Options, Websites, Studio, Layouts or Forms.
- Change the wide logo (115 × 25 px recommended), the square icon (40 × 40 px) and the version text, or use a Dashicon as the menu icon.
- Remove the resources links, the dashboard footer or only its links, and change its text, which accepts plain text only.
The options to rename or hide post type menus such as Portfolio and FAQ appear only with Avada Core active.
Install, adjust and keep a copy
The plugin acts on the Avada admin areas, so you need that theme on the site. The two reset buttons, Reset Section and Reset All, ask for confirmation, but their effect is permanent: it cannot be undone.
A reasonable route for a first setup:
- Install it from the Avada Plugins page in the dashboard, or from Maintenance and Plugins in the Avada dashboard.
- Open the Avada Branding menu and adjust each tab, saving with Save Settings.
- Log in as a user with your client's role and review the result.
- Export the settings to a JSON file from Import/Export, by section or complete.
That file can be imported later. If you want to use it as a starting point on another client site, test it first, especially if logo paths change.
White label without Avada in the picture
This plugin is built for Avada. If your sites use other themes, Branda customizes the WordPress admin and login screens, and adds two things that are not among the options here: customizing system emails and applying the brand across a whole multisite network.
Three answers for the site handover
Does it change anything on the public side of the site?
Its tabs cover the admin, the login screen and the Avada dashboard, and it can remove the Avada item from the admin bar on the site.
Can someone without an administrator role edit the branding?
Yes, if you select their role in User Role Visibility.
What happens if I reset the settings?
They are permanently cleared after confirmation, for one section or for all of them. An earlier JSON export lets you recover them.
