A contact form asks the visitor for an act of faith

They type their name, their email and their question, press send, and what they get back is a grey message saying somebody will reply soon. They do not know whether the message arrived, whether anybody will read it today, or whether the notification ended up in the site owner's junk folder. The normal outcome is closing the tab and carrying on looking.

Which is why so many people prefer writing on WhatsApp or Telegram: it is not fashion, it is that there they see the conversation, know it was sent and can come back to it. Bit Assist starts from that idea and puts a button on the site leading to the channels your customer is already on.

What the official Bit Assist licence covers

The full features activated on your site, the maker's updates while the licence is current and their support. The GPLClub team does the activation on your domain.

What it does

• Gathers your channels into one button: WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram, Slack, Discord, Signal, Viber and plenty more.
• Includes its own form for whoever prefers the usual route, plus a feedback widget and a frequently asked questions section.
• Respects working hours: channels can be switched off outside your hours, rather than collecting messages nobody will read until Monday.
• Adapts to your brand: logo, colours, widget position and your own CSS.
• Connects to other tools through webhooks and automation platforms.

There is one detail that in Europe stops being a detail: it uses no cookies and does not track the visitor. That takes it out of the consent banner conversation, which is where most chat widgets get stuck.

When it pays

If you sell services or products people ask about first. Training, health, building work, travel, any purchase considered before deciding: there the conversation is the sale.

If you handle enquiries from your phone. The messaging channel reaches you where you are already looking, and replying in ten minutes converts far better than replying tomorrow.

About licensing and the GPL

The code is distributed under the GPL licence and its use is free. Updates, support and activation against the maker's servers are separate services contracted with them. They are not the same thing, and buying one is not buying the other.
