About BookingPress – Happy Hours Pricing Addon
For the business with empty afternoons, not the one that is already full
Your calendar is full by mid-morning and almost empty at four in the afternoon. That gap isn't fixed with more general advertising, it's fixed by giving people a specific reason to book at exactly that time. BookingPress Happy Hours Pricing is made for that: it changes the price of a service depending on the weekday, the date or the time slot.
Before installing it, be clear about its limits. It is an add-on for BookingPress, it doesn't work on its own, and it is meant for the paid plans of the plugin. It won't help either if your problem is too much demand: if you already fill every slot, lowering the price only means earning less.
An empty hour can't be saved for tomorrow
Someone who sells products can wait for them to sell. Someone who sells appointments, classes or sessions can't: the four o'clock slot nobody booked disappears at five, and so does its revenue. That's why a slightly lower price in that slot often works out better than an empty calendar.
What almost nobody calculates is that the discount only pays off in the hours that wouldn't have been booked anyway. Applied to a slot that fills up by itself, it's money given away. Look at your booking data first and discount only where there are real gaps.
Prices by service, day and time slot with BookingPress Happy Hours Pricing
Setup is done service by service. With the add-on you can:
- Set a dynamic price for weekdays, specific dates or time slots.
- Create several happy hours for the same service, including on specific dates.
- Configure a different discount for each schedule.
- Give each service its own pricing calendar, according to what your business needs.
The risk of teaching your customers to wait for the offer
If the discount is too broad or lasts too long, customers learn that the regular price is the one not worth paying and start booking only in the cheap slot. To avoid that, limit the promotion to the hours with the fewest bookings and check from time to time whether the calendar for those hours has improved.
It's also worth thinking about how you present it: an afternoon, weekday or low-season rate is easier to understand than a permanent discount. The add-on applies the price, but communicating the offer is up to you. Check in the demo how the customer sees the price in the booking form before building your whole rate grid.

No. It is an add-on for the booking plugin and needs BookingPress installed, on a paid plan.
Can I have different prices for each service?
Yes. Happy hours are configured per service, and each one can have its own schedules and discounts.
Can I set several slots on the same service?
Yes, you can create several happy hours for one service, including specific dates.
Is it suitable for restaurants or bars?
If you want a drinks menu with special prices, this is not a menu.
