About BookingPress WhatsApp Notification Addon

For those already on BookingPress Pro whose clients live on WhatsApp

You send the confirmation by email and, the next day, the client writes to ask what time the appointment was. This addon takes booking notices to WhatsApp.

It suits you if:

  • You want every change to reach the client without writing it by hand.

It does not suit you if:

  • You want a chat to talk with clients: this addon sends notices, it does not manage conversations.
  • You need reminders before the appointment: the notices it sends are for booking, rescheduling and cancellation.

Three moments of the appointment when BookingPress WhatsApp Notification Addon writes to the client

The message goes out via WhatsApp when the client:

  • books an appointment,
  • reschedules it,
  • cancels it.

The idea is that whoever booked always has their appointment details at hand. Each notice responds to an action the client takes on your site.

The empty slot nobody knows about

In an appointment business, money does not leak when someone cancels, but when the change is left half done: the client moves the time, does not see the email with the new one and turns up at the old one, or does not show up at all. A rescheduling notice and a cancellation notice on WhatsApp help avoid that misunderstanding, though they do not eliminate it: nothing forces the client to read the message.

What to check in the demo before turning the addon on

  • How your WhatsApp number or account is connected and whether any additional service is needed.
  • Whether you can edit the text of each notice so it sounds like your business.
  • How the messages look on the client's phone.

If part of your clientele does not use WhatsApp, BookingPress has a separate SMS notification addon.

Questions from those who hesitate before adding it

Which notices does it send?

Those for three client actions: when the client books an appointment, when they reschedule it and when they cancel it.

Can I chat with my clients from the plugin?

It is not designed for that. It is a notification addon: it informs the client about their appointment, it does not open a conversation.

What if a client does not use WhatsApp?

For those cases there is an SMS notification addon, which is a separate add-on.
