Handling appointments by phone, WhatsApp and a spreadsheet works until two customers ask for the same hour or someone books a day you had already blocked. And in this business an empty slot can't be saved for tomorrow: it is lost.

It fits salons, clinics, rooms, sports venues, one-day tours, online classes or bike and boat rentals. Before buying, keep in mind that several pieces are separate add-ons:

Seven ways to book, from a single day to a slot with start and end

It pays to get the mode right for each product because it defines what the customer sees:

• A single day: for one-day tours or hall rental.
• Several days with a fixed number: the customer picks the start date. Works for courses or event tickets.
• Free start and end dates: hotel rooms, bikes.
• Appointment with a start time: medical appointments, hairdressing.
• Free start and end times: courts, boats.
• Recurring and non-adjacent: the last two, with the add-ons already mentioned.

You can also offer variable durations in the same product, for example rentals of 4, 8 or 32 days, or classes of 1, 4 or 8 hours.

Prices that change with the weekend, the season or the number of people

The total cost is calculated from the selected slots, additional services, number of guests, discounts and the provider. You can create unlimited rules by number of days or people, weekends or weekdays, specific dates, time of day and seasons.

Availability works with the same logic: block weekdays, dates, hours on certain days or entire months. You can add a preparation buffer before and after each booking, prevent last-minute bookings and limit the booking window or the allowed start days.

Staff, resources and extras shared without overlapping

Create staff members with their own schedule and cost rules, and the calendar reflects their availability. Additional resources, such as a parking space or an extra bed, carry a price and are assigned automatically or chosen by the customer.

With Global Assets you can sync calendars between products. It helps when one person offers several services or a room is shared between them. For groups, the number of people is recorded and you can decide whether that number takes up seats.

Getting the booking into your calendar, your inbox and the Zoom room

Bookings sync with Google Calendar (both ways), export as iCalendar for Apple Calendar and integrate with Microsoft Outlook, with the option to add the customer as an attendee. If you sell online consultations or classes, there is a Zoom integration.

You receive alerts for new bookings, confirmations and cancellations, and the customer receives reminders with the time adjusted to their time zone. You can preview the emails, require manual approval, set a cancellation deadline and create bookings from the admin for people who call or walk in.
