The product sells by weight rather than by unit, the photograph matters more than in almost any other sector, and the customer largely decides on trust: they want to see the counter, the provenance and the face of whoever does the cutting.
CarneShop is built for that. It is a WooCommerce theme for butchers, poulterers, fishmongers and seafood shops.
What it rests on
On WooCommerce, compatible with versions 8.x and 9.x. Which means the catalogue, cart, taxes, shipping and gateways are WooCommerce's and work with the plugins you already know.
For selling by weight, worth bearing in mind: price per kilo or per piece is handled through WooCommerce configuration and, where needed, a specific plugin. The theme supplies the presentation.
How you edit it
With Elementor, including the theme's own add-ons for that builder. It ships two homepage variants and more than 10 inner pages with demo content that imports so you do not start from nothing.
Right-to-left scripts
This version comes prepared for languages read right to left, such as Arabic, Hebrew or Persian. In food retail that opens specific markets, and it is not a simple mirroring of the design: it changes navigation direction, the cart's position and the reading order of the product page.
Everything else
Responsive design, compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge, and with Contact Form 7 for forms. It works with WordPress 5.0.x through 6.8.x.
