About Cena Store – Multipurpose WooCommerce WordPress Theme

Your category tree costs more to change than your home page

You open the store with your first products and everything looks tidy. Months later the catalog has grown, phone cases sit under Accessories, cables under Computing and some products appear in two places. Nobody finds anything without using the search bar.

In a store with many items, product classification is the real design, and every menu, tab and filter inherits its successes and its mistakes. A home page changes in an afternoon. Reordering categories with a full catalog means redoing menus and tabs.

Cena Store, by Thembay, is a multipurpose WooCommerce theme built above all for electronics stores, with more than ten home pages. Its most useful pieces are the ones that move through the catalog, so it pays to settle your categories before choosing a demo.

Pieces that rely on your classification

  • Mega menu of its own, Tbay Megamenu, with an Ajax dropdown option.
  • Category and product tabs with optional Ajax loading.
  • Ajax product search.
  • Grid and list view in the shop, with product and post carousels.
  • Brands through YITH WooCommerce Brands Add-on, another way to cross the catalog.

Quick view, compare and countdown when buying

Cena combines its own buying features with others that arrive through third-party plugins:

  • Quick view and Ajax cart to keep shopping without changing page.
  • Wishlist and compare, with YITH WooCommerce Wishlist and YITH WooCommerce Compare.
  • Variation swatches with WooCommerce Variation Swatches.
  • Product page with options for countdown, video, a buy now button and total sales.
  • Sales notifications, with the Woo Notification plugin.

It also comes with color presets, Google Fonts without touching code, responsive design, a 404 page and right-to-left support. Options run on Redux, and home pages and pages are built with WPBakery Page Builder and Slider Revolution.

What Cena leaves to other tools

It works with WPBakery. If your team already uses Elementor, bear in mind that Cena is prepared for another builder.

It brings together many plugins. Wishlist, compare, brands and notifications are external pieces, and it is best to install only those you will use.

It does not organize your catalog. Categories, attributes and each product's specifications are defined by you in WooCommerce.

Its focus is a single store. There is no multi-vendor system among its features.

Languages go through other plugins. You can use WPML for a multilingual store or Loco Translate to translate the theme's texts.

Prepare the server and start with the catalog

The import asks for quite a lot: memory_limit of 256M, post_max_size and upload_max_filesize of 64M, max_input_vars of 3000, max_execution_time and max_input_time of 3600, allow_url_fopen enabled, HTTPS and a writable uploads folder. After activating the theme, a notice offers the plugins.

  1. Sketch your categories on paper.
  2. Install the theme and plugins, and leave the child theme for last.
  3. Open Appearance, Theme Setup, and choose the demo.
  4. Configure the mega menu with your categories and the footer menu.
  5. Check the shop, cart and checkout pages in the WooCommerce settings.
  6. Create your real categories and replace the sample products.

If you already have a site with content, import the demo with the content section unchecked, to keep what is yours.

Similar stores on other foundations

If you prefer Elementor for an electronics store, Digitek comes with phone and electronics home pages on that builder. If you will admit several vendors, Machic is aimed at electronics and that kind of marketplace.

For a general store, Woodmart is another option built from WooCommerce.

Electronics, translation and running stores with Cena

Is it only for electronics?

No, that is its main focus, although it also suits fashion, digital products and furniture.

Which builder does it use?

WPBakery Page Builder, along with Slider Revolution for sliders.

Do I need the wishlist plugin?

Yes, that feature requires YITH WooCommerce Wishlist, and compare requires YITH WooCommerce Compare.

Can it be translated?

Yes, with WPML or Loco Translate, and it has right-to-left support.

Can I install it on a store that is already running?

Yes, by importing the demo without the content, and it is best to do it first on a test copy.
