About Custom Twitter Feeds Pro

An X feed that doesn't look like a pasted iframe

Showing your tweets on your site often ends up as a rigid iframe that ignores your design, loads slowly and looks the same on mobile as on desktop. Custom Twitter Feeds Pro displays your posts as part of the page, inheriting the fonts and colors of your theme, without touching code.

Whoever installs this already posts on X regularly, but their website is a storefront nobody updates. The plugin lets a single post feed two places at once, and that only pays off if your account has real activity. A feed from a stalled account is more noticeable on your site than no feed at all.

What you can show and how it is presented

Each feed can come from a different source, and all of them can be combined into one:

  • User timeline, mentions or home timeline.
  • Hashtags and advanced searches, with operators to refine which tweets get in (for example a hashtag that also includes photos).
  • Twitter Lists, useful if you curate content from other accounts.
  • Mentions of your account, to show what others say about you in the same feed.

You can show as many feeds as you like, from different users, hashtags or searches, on the same page or spread across the site, and customize each one separately.

Layout, moderation and performance in Custom Twitter Feeds Pro

The feed can be presented as a multi-column masonry grid, as a carousel or with infinite scroll. Shared links generate an automatic Twitter card, and photos and videos open in a lightbox without taking the visitor off your site. You can also show the number of tweets and followers at the top, with a follow button, and let visitors like, retweet or reply from your site.

If you don't want just anything to appear, there is moderation: you hide specific tweets or filter out those containing certain words. A backup cache keeps showing your posts even if Twitter fails. If something prevents the feed from updating, there are alerts in the admin and by email.

It is added with a shortcode, in a page, post or widget, or with the Gutenberg block, which lets you preview it in the editor. Developers can change the HTML with templates or adjust behavior with hooks. Text can be translated into any language, and it integrates with several cookie consent plugins to offer a version with no third-party requests.

Decide whether an X feed suits your website

It pays off if you post often on X and want that activity to refresh your site, if you receive mentions that work as social proof or if you manage client sites that already have an active account. If your account barely moves, the feed won't hide it.

Keep in mind that the plugin displays content from X: it doesn't create posts or replace a social media strategy. And social proof depends on what people really write about you; it doesn't manufacture it.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You authorize it from the settings page and insert it with a shortcode or block. Templates and hooks are optional.

Will it match my site's design?

By default it inherits your theme's styles, and then you can adjust it with the customization options.

Does it work well on mobile?

It is designed to be responsive and adapt to any screen size.

Can I mix several sources in one feed?

Yes: user, mentions, home and hashtag or search in one.

What happens if Twitter stops responding?

Cached tweets stay visible, and you get a notice if action is needed.
