About Directorist OneListing Pro – WordPress Theme for Business Directory (Premium)
The theme built for Directorist
Directorist is the plugin supplying a directory's machinery: the listings, the filters, the payments, the reviews. What it does not supply is a finished design, and running it on a generic theme leaves a site that works but does not look like a real portal.
OneListing is the theme built for that machinery. The advantage over adapting another is that the plugin's screens, which make up most of the site, arrive already designed.
How listings look
- Grid and list for browsing the catalogue.
- Map view in two and three columns, which is how a local directory gets navigated.
- Listing detail page with a verified owner badge, which is what separates a business that has claimed its page from one that has not.
- Author page with everything each user publishes.
How it is organised
It supports several directory types at once, with demos for general, restaurants and real estate. Category browsing with thumbnails, exploration by geographic location, and tag-based filtering.
Search also filters by price range, rating, tags and whether the business is open now, which in a local directory is among the most used features and the least commonly included.
For users
Registration and login, Facebook included, password recovery, front-end listing submission, and their own dashboard for managing what they have published.
Everything else
A blog with full-width and sidebar layouts, testimonial sections, call-to-action blocks and contact information blocks.
Before deciding
This theme **is designed to run with Directorist**, so the real decision comes earlier: whether you are going to use that plugin. If you have already chosen it, the theme saves you designing its screens. If you are still comparing directory plugins, that is the decision to make first, because it conditions everything else.
