If you already build with Divi and your clients ask for more than text and images
Divi ships with plenty of modules, but sooner or later a client wants a carousel, a large dropdown menu, a popup or a search box that responds as they type. Then you start installing a different plugin for every whim.
Divi Essential is for people who already design with Divi, whether freelancers, agencies or owners of their own site, and want to cover those gaps with a single add-on. It is not for anyone working with another page builder: it is a Divi extension and it needs Divi as a theme or as a builder.
Divi Essential: the extras that get requested after the first mockup
It is meant for the additions almost every project ends up asking for:
- Carousels and masonry-style galleries.
- Mega menus.
- Popups.
- Live search with Ajax.
- Text animation and icons.
- An event calendar, Gravity Forms integration and a WooCommerce product module.
Every extra plugin is another author to depend on
People who build sites for clients rarely fail at the build: they fail months later, when something breaks and they have to work out which of twelve plugins is to blame. Every loose add-on is another developer, another pace of changes and another possible conflict with the rest.
Putting carousel, menu, popup and search in a single extension shortens that list of suspects. It does not remove the risk, but it makes it easier to know where to look when a page fails and simpler to maintain several sites with the same pieces.
Gravity Forms and WooCommerce: the modules that are useless without their plugin
The modules tied to other plugins, such as the Gravity Forms one or the WooCommerce product one, assume those plugins are already installed on the site. If you don't use them, that part adds nothing for you. The same goes for the event calendar: check in the demo whether it manages events on its own or depends on another tool.
Don't expect it to replace a specialized plugin for bookings, sales or complex forms either. It is a box of design modules for Divi, not a business suite. Before promising a client anything, check in the demo that the specific module does what you need.
