About Divi Events Calendar

Building an events agenda on a Divi site usually ends one of two ways: the calendar plugin's generic events page, which looks nothing like the rest of your design, or hand-written event cards you have to edit every time a date changes. Divi Events Calendar fixes that clash: events are managed in one place and displayed with Divi modules you can design like any other section.

A real walkthrough: from a loaded date to a published page

Imagine a cultural center, an association or a school that schedules workshops and talks every month. The walkthrough would be:

  • Step 1, prepare the foundation. You need the Divi theme active and The Events Calendar installed before this plugin. Without it, the plugin has no events to show.
  • Step 2, load the events. They are created and edited in The Events Calendar, not in this plugin. Dates, venues, categories and listings are maintained there.
  • Step 3, display them. In the Divi Builder you search for "events" and add the modules like any other: Events Feed, Events Calendar, Events Filter, Events Carousel, Events Page and Events Tickets.
  • Step 4, give them your design. The modules are designed from the Divi Builder itself, so the listing fits the rest of the site.

If your site is in another language, the module names may appear translated and not show up when you search "events". In that case, go through the full list without using the search.

Events Feed: the module that saves you the most work

It is the most versatile one. It displays a list of events in different layouts and works on any page or archive of your site. Besides the main agenda, it works for dynamic categories, related events inside an event page, an archive of past events and event search results.

Filters and month view

Events Filter works together with Events Feed: you choose which filters to offer, add, remove or reorder them and style them (filters in general, active ones and each one individually, including dropdowns). Events Calendar is the traditional month view, with events on their day and a pop-up when you hover.

Your own templates for each event page

Events Page lets you build the individual event page with Divi, combining standard modules with this one. It is useful for creating dynamic Theme Builder templates that change the look of all event pages at once.

Divi Events Calendar does not manage events or sell tickets on its own

Be clear on this before buying: it is a display add-on. Creating and managing events depends entirely on The Events Calendar. And although there is a tickets module (Events Tickets), it is not an independent booking system. If you don't use Divi, it is no use to you.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Divi 5?

Yes, it works with Divi 5 and keeps working with Divi 4. With Divi 5, some of the documentation and screenshots may not match exactly what you see, but the main functionality is the same.

Can I use it without The Events Calendar?

No. It must be installed first, because all the events come from there.

Where do I create the events?

In The Events Calendar. This plugin only displays and styles them.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The modules are used like any other Divi module, so if you already know the builder it will feel familiar.

Can I design the individual page of each event?

Yes, with the Events Page module and Theme Builder templates.
