About Dropshipping XML WooCommerce PRO
For the store with a wholesale supplier that publishes a feed, and not for those who need automatic orders
If your supplier gives you a link to an XML or CSV file with their catalog and you turn it into WooCommerce products by hand, the problem is not the first load: it is that the file changes and your store does not. This plugin is for those who work with that kind of feed and want their catalog to follow the supplier's.
It is not for you if you want to forward orders to the supplier: that is something else, and the maker offers it as a separate order export plugin. Nor is it for those who receive the catalog in a format other than XML or CSV. And if the file is on your computer or on an FTP server, you need the FTP import add-on, because the base plugin starts from a link.
Dropshipping lives on your store's stock and price not lying
In this business you have no warehouse to warn you: the only real inventory is the supplier's. If a product runs out there and your store keeps selling it, you inherit the problem: an order you cannot fulfill, a refund and an angry customer. That is why what matters in Dropshipping XML WooCommerce PRO is not importing once, but synchronizing periodically.
You schedule the days and hours when the import starts and choose which product fields are updated. This way you can let the feed govern price and stock, and protect the texts you have rewritten yourself.
Mapping tags by dragging them, with no code
You paste the file link and the plugin recognizes the format and suggests the branch where the products are (it is worth checking). Then comes the mapping: you drag each tag from the file preview to the matching WooCommerce field.
- Categories: you can match the file's categories to your store's, create new categories automatically and build category trees.
- Attributes and taxes: WooCommerce attributes and tax rates can be mapped.
- Product types: simple, variable and external or affiliate.
- Images: product images are supported.
- Other fields: you can import into Yoast and Advanced Custom Fields fields.
Your margin is applied at import
The price modifier raises or lowers the regular and sale price of all imported products according to the rules you set.
Conditional logic adds judgment: it imports only the products that meet your conditions and leaves out the rest.
What happens to what disappears from the feed
This is the decision that hurts most if ignored. In the import options you define how an existing product is recognized (by SKU, name, EAN or your own identifier) and what to do with those that existed but no longer appear in the file. Choose it before the first synchronization, not after half the catalog has moved.
You can also update only existing products without creating new ones, or create new ones as drafts to review them before publishing. There are also import logs to see what happened. The plugin sets no limit on the number of files or products.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with CSV files as well as XML?
Yes, it supports both formats.
Can I upload a file from my computer?
Not with the base plugin, which works from a link. For FTP or a local file there is a separate FTP import add-on.
Can I change prices on import?
Yes: the price modifier raises or lowers them in bulk, and it combines with conditional logic.
Does it update only price and stock?
You choose which product fields are updated in each synchronization.
Does it handle orders to the supplier?
No. It imports and synchronizes products; orders are handled by another plugin.
