About Equita – Logistics Cargo WordPress Theme

People come to a haulage company's website to look up a shipment

And that completely changes what belongs on the homepage.

Intuition says a logistics company has to show its services, its fleet and its years of experience. And that is needed, yes, but it is not what brings people. Whoever types your name into a search engine is, almost always, somebody who has a shipment in transit and wants to know where it is: your customer's customer, the buyer waiting for a parcel, the warehouse manager who needs to know whether it arrives today.

Those people arrive, find nowhere to enter the tracking number, and phone. Every one of those calls costs money and the same person makes it three times a day.

Equita is a WordPress theme for logistics, transport and freight companies: road haulage, air freight, trucking services and sector recruitment.

What it contributes

  • A logistics company structure, with the usual sections already built.
  • Service pages for road, air and freight transport.
  • A recruitment section, which in this sector is not decoration.
  • Easy to configure, without depending on a developer to get going.

The three things the website has to solve

Tracking, right at the top. Even if for now it is a box leading to your carrier's portal or a form you answer by hand. Every enquiry resolved without a phone call is time recovered.

The quote, with the right questions. In transport the price depends on origin, destination, weight, volume, whether it is palletised and whether unloading is needed. A form asking that arrives ready to quote; one asking only for a name and a message generates three emails back and forth before you can give a number.

Recruitment, taken seriously. This is the sector where finding drivers is harder than finding customers. A properly made careers page, with the terms genuinely stated and a short form, is worth more than half the commercial site.

What sits underneath and is not the theme

Worth knowing before deciding the project's scope, because it is where the real work is.

Real tracking, the kind that shows the shipment's updated position, comes from the transport management system or from the carrier you work with, and reaches the site through an integration. It is not a theme feature.

Automatically calculated rates likewise: they depend on your agreements, fuel surcharges and zones, and that lives in your own system.

None of this is a fault. It is the normal division: the theme provides the shop window and the operational side gets linked in.

Requirements

It needs WordPress. Tracking and rate calculation get solved by integration with your system.

Alternatives in the catalogue

On the same ground, Globefarer, Tranzix and Logtik cover the same case with different aesthetics, and Globax adds WooCommerce if you sell something as well as the service.

If you prefer building the design on Elementor over your current theme, Logixtic is a set of sector templates.

If your business is removals rather than industrial freight, the tone is different and Moving is designed for that.

And two pieces that solve what the theme does not cover: WPGetAPI connects WordPress with your carrier's programming interface to bring in shipment status without bespoke development, and WP Webhooks goes the other way, notifying your system when something happens on the site.

Frequently asked questions

Does it include shipment tracking?
Not out of the box. Real status comes from your management system and reaches the site by integration.

What should be on the homepage?
The tracking box. It is what most people typing your name are coming for.

Does it calculate rates?
No. They depend on your agreements and zones, and that lives in your own system.

Is it suitable for air and road transport?
Yes, it allows for both as well as trucking and general freight.

What is the recruitment section for?
Finding drivers, which in this sector usually costs more than finding customers.

What should the quote form ask?
Origin, destination, weight, volume, whether palletised and whether unloading is needed.
