About Eventos – An Event and Conference WordPress Theme
Building the website for a conference or a meetup often ends up as a home page with a countdown, a schedule PDF uploaded by hand and a link to an external form nobody can find on mobile. When ticket sales open, the site neither helps people decide nor helps them buy.
Eventos: a website built around the event calendar
Eventos is a theme for organizers of conferences, business gatherings and meetups. The home page shows the event topic, its length (the demo speaks of three days), the number of speakers and workshops, and a clearly visible ticket purchase button.
Schedule, speakers and sponsors in ready-made pages
The theme includes several home pages (event, meetup, marketing and conference) and pages ready for the pieces an attendee looks for:
- Schedule by session and date: each talk shows start and end time, level and a button to share the event.
- Speakers: a page to introduce them, with a featured keynote speaker and a link to the full list.
- Sponsors, gallery, venue and event list: pages included in the theme.
- Registration, ticket purchase and contact: separate pages for each step.
- Blog, shop and user account: with cart, checkout, terms and conditions and a coming soon page.
There is also a mega menu.
A demo design you will have to fill with your own content
A common mistake when installing an events theme is leaving the sample texts in place. In the demo, the speaker and session cards repeat placeholder names, job titles and descriptions. Gathering photos, bios, schedules and sponsor logos is your job, and it is usually what takes the longest.
The home page elements, such as attendee perks (drinks, Wi-Fi, raffle), are sample content: replace them with what you actually offer.
Deciding whether Eventos is enough to sell tickets and manage attendees
It is a design theme: it shapes the website, but it does not by itself guarantee an attendee management system. Before committing, think about how you will charge for tickets and how you will control capacity.
Does it sell tickets on its own?
The theme includes shop, cart and checkout pages, and a ticket purchase page, but it is not a ticketing system with capacity control, QR codes or attendee lists. Check in the demo how the purchase works and whether you need an additional plugin for that.
Is it suitable for a small event or a meetup?
Yes, it has a dedicated meetup home page. If your event is a single afternoon, you will probably have more pages than you need; you can keep only the ones you use.
