About Everest Forms – Repeater Fields
When you don't know how much data each person will bring
A form with five slots for "experience 1, 2, 3…" fails in two ways: someone with a single experience gets empty fields they don't need, and someone with seven runs out of room. The same happens with addresses, references or items. Everest Forms – Repeater Fields solves that uncertainty: each person decides how many times to repeat a group of fields and clicks a button to add another.
The underlying idea is that a form is designed for the most complex visitor, but has to look simple to the simplest one. A short form at first glance is less intimidating than one with twenty blank fields, and it still collects everything you need.
Everest Forms – Repeater Fields: what you can repeat and how to cap it
It is an Everest Forms add-on and is part of its premium plan, so you need that plugin installed. You add a repeater field to the form and drag inside it the fields you want repeated.
- Drag and drop: you build the repeating group with the same fields as always, without writing code.
- Repetition limit: you set a maximum so nobody submits fifty rows and the information arrives in an orderly way.
- Conditional logic: you can show or hide the repeater depending on answers in other fields, for example, so it only appears if the person says they have more than one address.
- Custom labels: the add and remove buttons accept your own text, so they fit the tone of the form ("Add another position" says more than "Add").
Several emails and several files in a single submission
The most useful part lies in two specific fields. The email field can work as a repeater, so several email addresses can be entered in the same form. The file upload field can too, to attach more than one document without creating a separate field for each one.
Cases where it fits well: a job application with several previous positions, a customer sign-up with several delivery addresses, an order or registration form where each person adds their own items. If most of your visitors only fill in one entry, the repeater adds nothing and you can leave it out.

Choose the repeater when every row asks for the same thing and the number is uncertain. And since it is an add-on, it does nothing on its own: it depends on Everest Forms.
Does it work without Everest Forms?
No. It adds a field to that plugin; it is not a standalone form builder.
Can I limit how many times it repeats?
Yes, you can set a maximum number of repetitions.
Can I repeat an email or file field?
Yes, both fields can work as repeaters.
Can I change the button text?
