About Extrafix – Maintenance & Home Repair WordPress Theme
When your customer's fridge breaks down, they don't compare: they call whoever answers first
A home breakdown can't be planned. Someone looking for an appliance technician has a washer that won't run or a broken air conditioner, and wants to know three things right away: whether you fix their problem, whether you can come soon and how to reach you. Many websites in this sector get lost in long texts about the company and hide the phone number and the hours.
Extrafix is a theme designed for home repair and maintenance businesses. Its demo puts first exactly what decides a phone call: services, offers, locations and hours. In this business the purchase is made in a hurry, and the winner is whoever looks closest and most available.
A customer's journey through Extrafix, step by step
Imagine someone whose fridge isn't cooling and smells odd. This is what they find in the demo and what you will need to adapt.
1. They land on the home page
They see a menu with Home, About us, Repair Services, Blog and Contacts, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest icons, a button to request an appointment and large messages with offers, such as this week's fridge service. Note: the button is a design element. If you want customers to really book, you will have to connect it to a form or a booking plugin.
2. They look for their appliance
The demo lists repair of air conditioning, fridges, washers, dryers, vacuum cleaners and coffee machines, and the footer adds blenders and spare parts. These are sample texts, in English: replace them with the services you offer. And Spare Parts appears as one more service, not as a parts store.
3. They decide whether to trust you
Several blocks separate major appliances from small ones and talk about an experienced crew. Replace those generic sentences with your real details (years in the trade, brands you repair, areas you cover). A text that could belong to any workshop convinces no one.
4. They check where you are and when you open
The demo shows three addresses with their phone numbers and hours from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 20:00, closed on Sunday. All of it is sample data from Orlando that you must replace. Also note an inconsistency in the demo: the introduction text talks about serving at any hour, while the schedule closes on Sundays. Adjust the message to what you actually deliver.
5. If they hesitate, they read the blog
The home page shows the latest posts, with topics such as odors in the fridge or the lifespan of a refrigerator. They are tips that answer questions before a breakdown and give you the chance to appear in calmer searches, not only urgent ones.
Common questions before building a repair shop website with Extrafix
Does it work for other maintenance trades? The demo is focused on appliances. If you have other home services in mind, you will need to change texts and images and check that the structure fits you.
Does it include online booking? The demo shows a button to request an appointment, but not a booking system. If you need one, add it with another plugin and check that it fits the design.
Does it come in Spanish? The demo is in English. You will have to translate or write the texts, menus and posts yourself.
Can I show several locations? The demo presents three locations with address and phone number, so the layout already considers a business with more than one site.
Extrafix performs best with few pages and plenty of local information
With five sections (home, about us, services, blog and contact) the demo covers what a customer needs to decide. Don't expect a platform with quotes, payments or repair tracking: it is a presentation website so people call or write to you. If that is your goal, all that's left is replacing the sample content with your own.
