About Fabius – Resume WordPress Theme

Fabius is for people whose story fits on one long page, not for those who need a site with many doors

A personal portfolio usually fails in one of two ways: a PDF nobody opens or a site with so many menus that visitors leave before seeing your work. Fabius takes a different route: your whole profile on a single page that you scroll down.

  • It works for you if you are a freelancer, designer, developer or other digital professional and want to present services, work and skills in one single flow.
  • It does not work for you if you need a site with many pages to rank separately. The theme lets you move sections to their own pages, but its approach is that of a single page.
  • Mind Elementor: the content is edited with this page builder, so check in the demo which parts need its paid version.

A single URL: what you gain in clarity and lose in search

People who might hire you usually take a short look at your site to decide whether to get in touch. A single page saves them the hunt: services, work and skills appear in order, with no clicks in between.

The price is that Google has only one page of yours to rank, so it will be hard to show up for several different topics. If people search for your name or personal brand, that is no problem. If you hope to win clients through generic searches, you will need separate pages.

The sections in Fabius: the ones that come ready and the ones you decide to move

The theme comes with ready-made sections, such as Home, Services, Portfolio or Skills, placed one after another on the same page. You can add or remove any of them and move one to a stand-alone page.

  • Its own Portfolio content type for your work.
  • Content loading with Ajax.
  • Smooth scroll and animated transitions between elements.

Two demos and Elementor: how Fabius is customized

There are two demos with different color combinations. With Elementor you drag and drop elements and change text, images, fonts and colors.

It includes an XML file with the demo content, so you can start from a site that is already laid out instead of an empty one, and a child theme for your code tweaks. The design adapts to any screen size and works in the major browsers.

Fabius in several languages: Polylang, WPML and Loco Translate

If you address clients in different countries, the theme is compatible with WPML and Polylang, and it ships a .POT file so you can translate its texts with Loco Translate.

That translates the theme, not your content: you will have to translate your services, descriptions and projects yourself with one of those plugins.

Questions to settle before choosing Fabius

Can I have a separate page besides the main one?

Yes. You can move a section from the single page to a stand-alone page.

Do I need to know how to code?

Not for the basics: text, images, fonts and colors are changed with Elementor by dragging and dropping. The child theme is for those who want to touch code.

Can I start from the demo?

Yes, it includes an XML file with the demo content so you can begin with a site that is already built.

Is it suitable for an agency with many services?

It is designed for a personal portfolio or digital professionals. If your site needs many pages with weight of their own, another theme will fit better.
