The CRM and the automations, inside your own WordPress
A store that wants to recover abandoned carts and follow up after a sale almost always ends up subscribing to an external platform, exporting its contacts there, and paying per contact on the list whether it emails them or not. And with the order on one side and the email on the other, working out how much money each sequence brought in becomes an act of faith.
FunnelKit Automations puts that machinery inside WordPress. Contacts, workflows, emails and WooCommerce order data live in the same database, so revenue attribution stops being an estimate.
Contacts
Each person has a record with their purchase history, their engagement with your sends, and whatever custom fields you add. Segmentation works by lists and tags, and can lean on WooCommerce data such as average order value or purchase frequency, which is what actually separates a repeat customer from someone who bought once.
Workflows
They are built in a visual builder, chaining triggers, waits and conditions. There are ready-made recipes for the usual cases:
- Abandoned cart, with the recovery sequence.
- Winback for customers who have not bought in a while.
- Post-purchase follow-up, to ask for a review or suggest an add-on.
- Renewal reminders on subscriptions.
Conditional logic lets the same workflow branch on what the person actually did, instead of sending everyone the same thing.
Email and SMS
It ships a drag-and-drop email builder, SMS sending, and A/B testing on broadcasts. It can also take over WooCommerce transactional emails, the order notifications, which by default are plain and cannot be segmented.
Measuring
Opens, clicks, attributed revenue, cart recovery, contact acquisition and unsubscribes. With the orders sitting in the same database, revenue attributed to a sequence is a fact rather than an integration that can drift out of sync.
What it connects to
More than a hundred applications. Forms from Gravity Forms, Elementor, Fluent Forms and WPForms; WooCommerce, LearnDash and AffiliateWP; external CRMs such as ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Drip, Klaviyo and Mautic; Zapier, Make and Pabbly for the rest; and Twilio for SMS.
Frequently asked questions
Does it replace my email platform?
It can, and that is its proposition. It also integrates with the main ones if you would rather keep them and use FunnelKit only for automation.
Do I need WooCommerce?
For cart recovery and order data, yes. The contacts, lists and campaigns side works from forms with no store involved.
Where do the emails go out from?
From your own WordPress, so it is worth having a proper sending service configured so they do not land in spam.
Can I send SMS?
Yes, through the Twilio integration.
