About Gainlove – Nonprofit Charity WordPress Theme
For the small nonprofit whose website depends on a volunteer, not a developer
In many organizations the website is run by a volunteer with little spare time. When that person leaves, whoever comes next inherits a site nobody dares to touch. Gainlove fits that situation: it is built with Elementor, so pages are created and changed by dragging and dropping, without writing code.
It works for you if you are:
- an association, foundation or NGO that wants to explain its mission and win support
- a team running fundraising or crowdfunding campaigns
- a church or religious organization that manages events and causes
- an environmental project, a volunteer group or a social activism collective
It is not for you if you want a theme that does not depend on a page builder: here you work with Elementor. And if you already have a site on the first generation of Gainlove, this version was built separately on a new foundation and is not compatible with it, so it would be a new website, not a one-click switch.
Donating has to take fewer clicks than closing the tab
People who land on a charity's website are usually moved but short on patience. If the path to the donate button is long, that emotion cools off. Gainlove includes a donation system with PayPal and WooCommerce support, designed to manage campaigns and receive online donations.
Because it relies on WooCommerce, you can also sell charity products from the same website, which is useful if your organization funds part of its work with t-shirts, tote bags or merchandise.
Still, don't assume more than what is there: beyond PayPal and WooCommerce, other payment gateways, recurring donations or tax-deduction receipts are not among its features. If you need them, check the demo before planning your campaign.
The Gainlove pages that save you the first draft
The hardest part of a new website is often deciding which pages you need and in what order to tell your story. The theme comes with ready-made pages for that:
- About
- Campaigns
- Donations
- Blog
- Volunteers
They are a starting point to adapt with your own texts, not a finished website. And one practical detail: the demo images are samples only, and you must replace them with your own or licensed photos for your final site. For a nonprofit, real photos of its work are worth more than any template.
Gainlove and speed: what is up to you
The theme has a responsive design and is SEO-optimized, but final speed is not decided by the theme alone. It depends on the demo you choose, your hosting and the content you upload, and some theme features can lower speed test scores. If your audience donates from their phones, watch your image sizes and test the site before launching a campaign.
Another design detail: some demos use Adobe Fonts. If they are not available in your installation, they are replaced by default or Google fonts, and the look may differ slightly from the demo.
