About Gentleman – CV & Resume vCard WordPress Theme
A PDF resume gets opened once; a personal website gets remembered
You send your CV as a PDF and whoever receives it compares it with many others on one screen. It doesn't show your work, it can't be shared with a link and it goes out of date as soon as you change jobs. Your own website fixes that, but only if it doesn't turn into a maze of menus nobody explores.
Gentleman is a vCard-style WordPress theme: a clean, responsive personal page where your whole profile reads in one go. Anyone who looks you up by name arrives, scans and decides without getting lost.
Each page on the left or on the right, and with movement
What sets Gentleman apart from a generic portfolio template is how it places content and how much room it gives you to make it yours:
- You choose whether each page sits on the left or on the right, with a smooth animation as elements move.
- Unlimited color styles: you build your own scheme in a few clicks.
- WPBakery Page Builder with drag and drop and more than 20 elements, plus theme options through Redux Framework.
- A header image for every page and every blog post, a parallax background and more than three social icons or links.
- More than 600 Google Fonts and more than 628 Font Awesome icons to fine-tune typography and details.
Gentleman depending on who installs it
If you are job hunting
Your CV becomes a link you put in your email and your professional profile. Since everything happens in a single scroll, the most important content has to go at the top: decide beforehand what you want people to see in the first blocks. It has support for Contact Form 7.
If you are a freelancer
It works as a business card with personality. Social networks fit without a three-link limit, and the blog lets you show how you think, something a list of projects doesn't tell.
If you want a vCard for networking
A responsive design, Retina-ready and compatible with iPad and iPhone, built so people can open it on their phone when you hand them your link at an event.
Questions before building your vCard with Gentleman
Do I need to know how to code? No. You can import the demo content with one click and adjust it with the drag and drop builder.
Can I change the colors? Yes, the styles are unlimited and the scheme is created in a few clicks.
Can it be translated? It is translation-ready with the included POT file, so you can convert it to your language.
Does it have a blog? Yes, with a listing page and a detail page for each post.
It needs Redux Framework and WPBakery to work fully
The theme options depend on the Redux Framework plugin and the layout is built with WPBakery Page Builder, so install them when the theme asks you to. It is also a one-page theme designed for one person: it is not the tool for a website with many sections or several profiles.
