About GravityView

Your form responses shouldn't stay locked inside the admin area

GravityView solves exactly that: it displays the entries collected by Gravity Forms on the public side of your site.

A form is just the front door. What creates value is what you do with the data afterwards: a directory, a client portal or an internal dashboard are, at heart, forms you already have with a different face.

How GravityView works: views, fields and layouts

  • Separate layouts and extensions: add-ons such as Table Layout, Maps Layout or Advanced Filtering exist. Check in the demo which ones you need for your case.
  • No code: the approach is to build directories, portals and dashboards from the editor.

Now, the limits. GravityView does not create forms: it needs Gravity Forms installed and with entries. It is also not made by the Gravity Forms developer; it is an independent product that relies on it. Editing entries from the front end, importing CSV files, charts, calendars or exports belong to other plugins in the same family (GravityEdit, GravityImport, GravityCharts, GravityCalendar, GravityExport), not to this one.

Common questions before choosing GravityView

Does it work if I don't have Gravity Forms?

No. It only displays data from Gravity Forms, so without that plugin it has nothing to show.

Can I build a public directory?

Yes, it is one of the uses it is designed for, along with portals and dashboards. Think about which fields you want to make visible, because whatever you put in the view will be seen by anyone with access to it.

Can users edit their own entries?

Editing from the front end belongs to another plugin in the family, GravityEdit. If it is essential for your project, keep it in mind from the start.

Is it hard to use if I don't code?

The builder is visual and drag-and-drop, so you don't need to write code for typical use.

Who GravityView makes sense for

It suits agencies and freelancers who already work with Gravity Forms and want to hand a client a list or a dashboard without developing anything custom.

If your forms are just a contact form that you answer by email, you don't need to show anything on the site and this plugin is unnecessary.

An empty view teaches you nothing: start with a form that already has entries

Before building your first view, make sure the source form has real test entries. That way you will immediately see how each field looks and spot what is better hidden. Try it first with non-sensitive data and check who can access the view before publishing it, especially if it contains personal data.
