People looking for a flat or house online don't stay to admire your home page: they filter by area, price and size, and leave if the search is clumsy or the map doesn't show what they expect. Building a listings portal on a generic theme often ends with property pages that have no structure, weak filters and a map forced in afterwards. uListing, the plugin that powers HomePress listings

The theme includes uListing, a classified ads plugin from the same studio, StylemixThemes. With it you define properties with unlimited custom attributes (floor area, price range, amenities and whatever your market asks for) and organize your inventory from a listing builder.

• Advanced search and filters: visitors narrow results by size, price and other criteria.
• Radius search: properties near the user's location, in kilometers or miles.
• Geo autocomplete: you can limit results to a specific country.
• Similar properties: they keep visitors on your site when one listing doesn't convince them.
• Favorites: users save the ones they like or the ones they want to book a visit for.
• Mortgage calculator: a widget to estimate payments for each property.

Maps, surroundings and statistics for each property

For the map you can choose between Google Maps, OpenStreetMap (a free source) and Mapbox, with property markers in lists and on detail pages. The Yelp integration shows nearby services for the category you choose inside the property page, which is useful for buyers who are thinking about the neighborhood.

Each property can also show an audience statistics view. It helps the owner or agency see whether a listing attracts visits and, if you enable it, the public can see it too.

The design is built with Elementor and the theme's own components. There are 10 premade homepages, more than 10 listing templates (as lists, grids or full width) and more than 5 single property layouts. A demo switcher lets you install another demo without losing your content. There are also video backgrounds in headers, Google fonts, forms with Contact Form 7 and MailChimp, and quick view.

What to decide before choosing HomePress: IDX, data and expectations

The theme is compatible with IDX plugins, such as iDX Broker, but with one condition: data imported through IDX is managed only with the plugin's options, not the theme's, because it lives in a different database. IDX is also a separate monthly subscription service and it is optional. If your business depends on an MLS feed, that part will look the way the IDX plugin itself is designed.

Do I need an IDX plugin to use it?

No. It works for publishing your own properties with uListing. You only need IDX if you want to import data from an external service.

Does it work for a portal with several advertisers?

It is designed both for a listings site and for a real estate marketplace. If you need specific rules for advertiser registration, payments or subscriptions, try it in the demo before committing.

Do I have to use Elementor?

The theme is designed to be built with Elementor, so working with it is the normal route.

Can I change demo later?

Yes, the demo switcher lets you install another one without losing your content.

Does it work for vacation rentals with bookings?

It is a theme for listings and contacting the agent. Don't plan it as an online booking engine.
