About Hygge – Multipurpose Single/Multi Page Template
A portfolio that looks good and doesn't win jobs
People who show their work online often make two mistakes: putting everything in one endless gallery, or burying the contact details three pages deep. A portfolio visitor doesn't read, they scan: a couple of thumbnails, a filter for what they care about and, if something convinces them, they want to write right away. Anything between that interest and the message is a lost job.
Hygge is designed for that journey. It is a multipurpose template with a single-page or multi-page version, useful for a personal portfolio, a company website or a blog. Important: it is delivered as an HTML template, not as a WordPress theme you activate from the dashboard. If you want something you install and manage from the WordPress admin, this is not that piece.
Hygge step by step: from the homepage to the message in your inbox
Imagine you are a photographer or designer building your site with this template:
- Homepage: you choose between 3 header types and 3 slider options (Revolution Slider included). You can use an image or video with a parallax effect so the first glance already shows your style.
- Structure: you decide between one page, with animations on scroll, or multi-page.
- Projects: the portfolio uses Cube Portfolio, with several layouts and category filters, so the wedding client doesn't have to wade through your packaging projects. An Ajax option opens each project without leaving the page.
- Gestures and screens: the design is responsive, with touch swipe support on mobile and tablet, and graphics and icons ready for retina screens.
- Contact: a form that sends without reloading the page, a Google Maps map and Mailchimp subscription for anyone who wants to follow you.
The 10 color schemes and Google Fonts let you adapt the look to your brand without redoing the design.
What you inherit when you edit Hygge: Bootstrap, jQuery and hand-written HTML
The template is built with Bootstrap, jQuery and valid HTML5 and CSS3, with cross-browser compatibility.
If you expected a theme with a customizer, a demo importer or a visual editor, you will hit a wall. To use it inside WordPress it would have to be converted into a theme, a separate development job. Don't expect a blog system with post management either.
Questions before choosing Hygge
Can I install it like a normal WordPress theme?
No. It is an HTML template: you edit it and upload it as files to your server. To integrate it into WordPress you need to adapt it.
Is it only for portfolios?
No. Its focus is multipurpose: portfolio, business, corporate or personal blog.
Does the contact form work without plugins?
It includes a form that sends without reloading the page. As with any static template, test the real sending on your server before publishing.
Can I change the colors?
Yes, it comes with 10 predefined color schemes, plus styling options.
