Building the website of an agency or a freelancer often ends in one of two extremes: a generic template that looks like everyone else's, or a custom design that never gets finished because the creative is their own most indecisive client. Ingenioso tries to spare you that loop with a base made for marketing studios, advertising agencies, designers, photographers, copywriters and bloggers.
People who hire creatives usually compare three or four sites in a row, often on their phone between meetings. What they remember is not your pitch, but which site showed them good work without effort. That is why a responsive theme with the portfolio front and center matters.
Five homepages and portfolio styles so you don't start from a blank page
Ingenioso comes with five premade homepages, with portfolio styles and layouts aimed at both agencies and personal portfolios. It works for marketing, SEO, social media, graphic or web design sites, and also for fashion, make-up, student or photography portfolios. It also fits an online CV, a vCard or a personal blog.

Elementor for editing and a blog with more tools than usual
The theme works with Elementor: you can modify the content of any page and also customize the header and footer from the page builder itself. It has its own options panel and a large number of Customizer settings, with setting inheritance and override, plus flexible colors and typography.
For those who publish often, the blog offers several styles, layout options, more than 20 post animations, a feed you can configure by post type or category, post views, likes, sharing buttons and a related posts section. If writing is your thing (copywriters, personal magazines, lifestyle), it is far from a minor extra.
Deciding if Ingenioso fits you: what to expect and what to ask first
It is a visual theme for showing work and attracting contacts. It is not designed for a large store or a booking system; although it is compatible with WooCommerce, a serious store needs its design checked in the demo before you commit. For forms, newsletters, events and cookie notices it relies on external plugins such as Contact Form 7, MailChimp for WP, The Events Calendar or a consent plugin; they do not come solved on their own inside the theme.
Some features depend on ThemeREX Addons, the companion plugin that goes with the theme. If you deactivate it, you lose its widgets, shortcodes and custom content types, so it is best to keep it active.
Does it work if I don't use Elementor?
The theme is built to work with Elementor, which is the comfortable way to edit headers, footers and pages. Without it you will lose much of the flexibility.
Is it good for a CV or a personal profile?
Yes, its uses include the CV, the vCard, the online resume and the personal profile.
Can I change colors and typography?
Yes, there is a color scheme editor and typography settings, plus Google Fonts.
Does it look good on mobile?
It is 100% responsive and supports retina images. Still, check your own images on mobile: a heavy portfolio needs well optimized photos.
