About Integrate Google Drive PRO
For anyone who hands files to clients from their own Drive, not for anyone looking for a storage room inside WordPress
Sending proposals, invoices or videos by email ends up in heavy attachments, duplicate versions and clients asking where that file was. And uploading everything to the media library fills up your hosting. Integrate Google Drive PRO takes another approach: it displays on your pages what you already have in Google Drive. The files stay in the cloud and your site just shows them.
It suits you if you already work with Drive and want clients, students or visitors to browse, download or upload files from your website. It is not for you in these cases:
- You don't want to depend on a Google account: the plugin is a window into Drive, not a storage system of its own.
- You expect everything to work without touching permissions: document previews need the file shared as "anyone with the link can view". The plugin tries to set this up on its own; if it can't, you change it once in Drive.
- You handle huge folders and want instant searches: search time grows with the files in the selected folders, so it pays to narrow them down.
Each client sees only their folder and you keep organizing in Drive
This is the feature that matters most to an agency, a studio or a trainer. You can link a private Drive folder to each user when they register, or later from the admin. Each person sees only their own files and you manage everything from Drive, as usual.
You can connect several Google accounts and choose which one each module reads from, useful if you separate projects or clients by account. Clients can also review files and approve or reject them from your site, and there are logs of downloads, uploads, streams and previews for each file.
Seven modules to decide how each folder looks on the page
Each module works as a block, widget or shortcode, and the plugin integrates with Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi and the classic editor.
- File browser: grid and list views, previews, downloads and an optional uploader.
- File uploader: drag and drop into a Drive folder, with progress bars and no size limit.
- Photo gallery: masonry layout with lightbox, built from any folder.
- Media player: Drive audio and video in a single player with an automatic playlist.
- Slider and carousel: image and video slideshows with autoplay and navigation.
- List of files: a clean list that visitors can preview and download.
Forms, store and media library without storing anything on your server
Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable, Elementor Forms and MetForm can send received files to a Drive folder. With WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads you serve downloadable product files from Drive and let customers upload files at checkout.
In the WordPress media library you can use Drive files as attachments, import them or replace local copies with Drive copies. You can also embed Docs, Sheets, PDFs, audio and video, read-only or editable.
Audio and video play directly from Drive, without using your hosting bandwidth. Only zip downloads pass through your site and generate traffic.
Questions from people whose Drive is already full of files
Is there a size limit for uploads?
The file uploader imposes none, so you can upload files of any size.
Why doesn't a document preview show?
It is almost always because the file isn't shared as "anyone with the link can view". Change it once in Google Drive.
Can I use more than one Google account?
Yes. You connect several and choose which one each module uses.
Can each user have their own folder?
Yes. You link it at registration or later from the admin, and each user sees only their own files.
