Istiqbal - Islamic Center & Mosque WordPress Theme

A mosque website is judged by how up to date it is

Many mosques and Islamic centers have a website that was created for one specific event, got stuck with an announcement from two years ago, and nobody in the community dares to touch it. The visitor is usually a neighbor or a worshipper on a phone, looking for something very specific: when the next talk is, where the center is, how to contribute. Istiqbal is designed for this kind of organization, and its biggest value is that whoever looks after the site, even without programming skills, can keep it alive week after week.

Elementor and a theme options panel so the site looks like your community

The theme is built with Elementor, so pages are put together by dragging blocks and editing text and images without touching code. It also comes with its own options panel where you adjust the overall look: unlimited colors, advanced typography and a menu that stays fixed while scrolling down the page. The starting fonts are Mulish for body text and Cinzel as a decorative typeface, and the icons come from Themify and Flaticon.

It is based on Bootstrap 5.x and has a mobile-friendly layout, which is key if most visits come from a phone. It also includes smooth animations when browsing, which are best used in moderation on a site people consult quickly.

Three home styles and an importable demo so you don't start from scratch

There are three home page variants and a one-click demo importer. It is the easiest way to see how the sections fit together before deciding what to keep.

Importing the demo is not publishing your website: you will still have to replace all the sample texts, photos and details with your own center's. If your own content is thin, the design will look empty.

Donations with GiveWP: the part that needs the most care

The theme integrates with the GiveWP donation plugin, so anyone who wants to support the center can do so from the website itself. Think about the times when most contributions arrive, such as Ramadan: that is when the donation page has to be clear and tested beforehand.

Remember that the payment gateway, the accounts and the campaigns are set up by you; the theme is not the payment gateway.

Prayer times need another solution

This is the gap that whoever runs a mosque will notice most. Among Istiqbal's features there are no automatic prayer times or an events calendar. Here is what it solves and what you will have to cover:

• Solved by the theme: clean, responsive design, three home pages, Elementor, color and typography options, sticky menu.
• Solved by the theme: forms with Contact Form 7 and a Google map with several locations, useful if the center has more than one site.
• Solved by the theme: visual integration with GiveWP to receive donations.
• You cover it: prayer times, with a specific plugin or by updating them by hand. Check in the demo how it would look on your page.
• You cover it: an events calendar, if you want one, with another plugin.
• You cover it: texts, photos, the content of the talks and the payment setup.
