Itiner: the transport website that answers before the customer calls
Someone looking for a carrier rarely browses for fun: they have goods to move, a deadline and a doubt about whether your company can take them where they need. If your website doesn't make that clear quickly, they call the next one on the list.
Itiner is a theme for logistics and transport companies. It includes Home, About, Services, Team, News and Contacts pages, so the skeleton is already done. What's left for you is what really matters in this sector: helping customers choose between road, sea or air, not just listing services.
From the first slide to the footer: a new customer's journey
The demo homepage follows the natural path of someone who arrives without knowing you:
- Header slider: three slides with a short message and a read-more button. It answers the first question: what you do and who for. Swap them for your specialty or your routes.
- Road freight block with a quote from management: it lets you share the company's vision with a real person behind it.
- Special services: the demo shows cargo insurance, car transportation, multimodal transport, and road, sea and air freight. This is where the customer decides whether you're their provider, so each service deserves a short, clear explanation.
- Reasons to choose you, news and testimonials: arguments, blog posts (in the demo, about driver training) and customer opinions. The texts, figures and testimonials in the demo are filler: replace them with your own real data.
- Offices and subscription: contact details and opening hours for each office, and a newsletter signup at the bottom of the page.
Itiner presents your company, it doesn't manage shipments: a rate quote tool or package tracking would have to come from another plugin.
Questions before choosing Itiner
Is it good for anything besides logistics? The demo is about transport, in both its design and its texts. For another business you would have to change almost all the content.
Do the homepage figures come ready to use? No. The counters and testimonials are examples; if you add numbers, make them the real ones for your fleet and your customers.
Customizing Itiner
A tip for a transport website: use animations sparingly. Someone with cargo waiting cares more about the page opening fast than about a nice effect.
