About Iva – Beauty Cosmetics Shop WordPress Theme
You can't smell or try a cream on a screen: the shop has to do the convincing on its own
Selling cosmetics online has a problem that a physical counter solves effortlessly: the customer can't smell the perfume, test the shade of a lipstick or feel the texture of a cream. Your photos, your product pages and the order of your catalog have to do all of that. Iva is a WordPress theme for makeup, perfume and skincare shops, organic or handmade cosmetics and beauty centers that sell products, and it relies on WooCommerce for the store side.
Its layouts are responsive, so the catalog adapts to mobile, tablet and desktop, and it is compatible with right-to-left languages.
Setting up the shop with Iva, from demo to first order
Besides the theme, it relies on a companion plugin with the shortcodes and custom content types used by its designs, compatible with Elementor. This is the logical path to get it running.
Step 1: import the demo and swap the photos
You can import the demo content with a one-click importer (One Click Demo Importer) and start from an already laid-out shop instead of an empty page. Note: the demo images are copyrighted and are not downloaded with the theme. You will have to add your own photos, and in cosmetics that matters more than any design tweak.
Step 2: open the homepage with Slider Revolution
Iva is compatible with Slider Revolution, a slider that supports text, images and video with transitions and animations. It works for opening with an offer. It is a separate plugin: check that it is installed before importing the demo homepage.
Step 3: organize the catalog with WooCommerce
Without WooCommerce, Iva is just a design: sales depend on that plugin. The theme takes care of the shop pages, with product sorting, a category filter and breadcrumbs. If you run a perfume shop or a skincare line with several ranges, that filter keeps customers from getting lost. WooCommerce can also take payments in several currencies once configured.
Step 4: save what they want to try later
The theme supports YITH WooCommerce Wishlist, useful for people who want to set products aside and decide later. It is another plugin you must install yourself; the theme does not include a wishlist on its own.
Step 5: answer questions with a form
For questions about ingredients, shades or orders, the theme works with Contact Form 7. You can edit the default template or create your own forms from its editor. It is a contact form, not a booking system.
Questions buyers ask before getting Iva
Does it work for a spa or a salon? Yes, if you want to sell beauty products from your website. If you need customers to book appointments for treatments, Iva does not handle that and you will have to add another tool.
Can I sell without WooCommerce? That is not the intended use: the whole store side is designed for that plugin.
Do the demo photos come with it? No. They are copyrighted images that are not included in the download, so you will need your own photography or purchased images.
Does it work in a right-to-left language? Yes, it is compatible with that kind of language. Check in your own content that the shop texts are aligned properly.
Iva in a beauty center: it sells the products, not the appointments
If you run a spa or a beauty center, Iva lets the shop for creams, oils or makeup keep working even when the customer doesn't visit the premises. Contact Form 7 handles contact. The appointment calendar is outside the theme.
