About Jericho – Barber Shop Modern WordPress Theme

A barber shop is chosen for its atmosphere, and the website has to make that clear

Anyone can cut hair at the corner shop. What brings a customer back is the place: sitting down, chatting with other men and leaving looking good. The problem is that the barber masters scissors and razor, not web copywriting, and many barber shop websites end up as a photo of the premises and a phone number. Jericho starts from that idea: its demo is built around the masculine atmosphere of the classic barber shop, with a direct tone and no frills.

This is how a customer walks through Jericho, from the homepage to the email

Imagine someone searching for a barber shop in their city who lands on your website. This is what they find and what each step solves:

  • Homepage with messages in sequence: the demo opens with three phrases one after another ("Making Your Look Awesome & Manly", "Keep your perfect look" and "More than just a haircut"), each with a button leading to "More about us". It lets you say in one line what kind of shop you are and sends the visitor toward your story.
  • Welcome text: a passage explaining why the shop exists, more as a place to spend time than as a haircut service. It is the spot to tell your approach in your own words.
  • Simple main menu: Home, About, Portfolio, Blog and Contacts. Five entries that cover what a visitor looks for: who you are, how you work, what you publish and how to reach you.
  • Portfolio: the natural space to show finished cuts and beards. In a barber shop, a photo of the result convinces more than any description.
  • Blog: the demo includes articles about mustache styles, hair problems and shaving questions. They show the kind of content that helps people find you on Google and that proves you know the trade.
  • Contact: a block to email any question.

Here is the limit worth being clear about: what the demo shows is a presentation website. No booking system or appointment calendar appears in it. If your customers expect to book a slot from the site, check in the demo whether something similar exists, or plan for a separate plugin.

Common questions before building your barber shop with Jericho

Does it work if my business combines a barber shop and a product store?

The demo focuses on presenting the shop, the portfolio and the blog. Before planning a store with a cart, check in the demo what it really includes, because that part should not be taken for granted.

Can I use it for a hair salon or a spa?

The look and the copy are clearly for a men's barber shop. For a unisex salon or a spa you would have to rewrite quite a lot of tone and imagery; it will work better if your audience is the one the demo describes.

Do I need to know design?

The five-page structure is short and easy to follow. You will need to swap the texts and photos for your own; the design is already solved.

The demo's awards and headlines are filler: replace them

The demo includes a list of awards with years and titles such as "Best Barbershop in New England". They are sample content so you can see how that strip looks. If you leave them as they are, you will publish recognitions your barber shop has not received, which shows and can cost you dearly. Replace them with what you do have: years in the trade, types of service or real comments from your customers. The same goes for the blog articles: they are topic examples, not content to publish as your own.
