About JetBlog for Elementor

A blog with lots of posts and an archive nobody designed

Publishing news or articles often ends the same way: the homepage is polished, but the archive and categories show the theme's flat list. And that is exactly where the visitor decides whether to read a second post or leave.

JetBlog for Elementor, by Crocoblock, is a plugin that adds Elementor widgets designed to display posts in different ways. Its appeal is that the archive stops being a formality: you design it with the same editor as the rest of the site.

JetBlog widgets: tiles, smart lists, ticker and video

  • Post Tiles: post tiles with 9 layouts. They can be turned into slides, with advanced styling settings.
  • Smart Posts List: a list of posts to show the latest published content. Like the tiles, it can be used as an archive template.
  • Text Ticker: a text strip to deliver news in an eye-catching way. It can also bring in third-party data through RSS feeds.
  • Video Playlist: a playlist with YouTube or Vimeo videos, and it can show the video's publication date.

It helps to be clear about the limits. It is an add-on that works inside the Elementor editor, not a theme or a separate builder. Videos stay hosted on YouTube or Vimeo: the playlist organizes them, it does not store them. And what the ticker shows through RSS is controlled by whoever publishes that feed, not by you.

Custom queries: meta, date, terms and offset

JetBlog supports custom WordPress queries: by meta, by date, including or excluding terms, with a post offset and in the order you need. A practical example: a latest posts block that skips the first post because it already appears featured above.

It also works with custom content types, so it is not limited to regular posts. If your case depends on a specific meta field, check in the demo that the list responds as you expect.

Frequently asked questions about JetBlog for Elementor

Do I need Elementor?

Yes. The widgets are used inside the Elementor editor.

Does it work with custom content types?

Yes, it works with custom post types as well as regular posts.

Can I use it as an archive template?

Yes: both Smart Posts List and the tiles can be set as an archive template to show the latest publications.

Does it host my videos?

No. It creates lists from external YouTube or Vimeo videos.

The blog archive is built with Smart Posts List or Tiles

Before you start, decide which template you want to redesign: the main blog, the categories or the archive of a custom content type. Then choose a format: a list of posts or tiles, in which case one of the 9 available layouts.

If you need to filter by date, meta or terms, define the query before adjusting the style, because it changes which posts appear and, with that, how the whole thing looks.
