About Julie Bernerro – Photographer Portfolio Responsive WordPress Theme

A photography portfolio that doesn't swallow your images

Many photographers build their site with a generic template and end up with cropped photos, menus that cover the image, or galleries that force you to open every photo to see it properly. And whoever decides to hire you (a brand, a publisher, an agency) often looks at your work for less time than you'd think. Julie Bernerro is a theme designed so the image takes the lead and everything else steps aside.

Its approach suits people working in fashion and advertising: the demo organizes content into covers, editorials, runways, showrooms and commercial work. That split is a useful idea for organizing your own portfolio by type of assignment rather than by upload date.

Julie Bernerro galleries: six ways to show the same photos

The theme includes several gallery layouts, and choosing well matters because each one tells a different story:

  • Grid: a tidy grid, good if your photos share similar formats.
  • Justify: with a paginated variant for long series.
  • Masonry: another way to organize photos in columns.
  • With filters: grid and masonry versions with category filtering, useful for separating editorials from commercial work on the same page.
  • Without content: an image-only grid, with no text underneath.

Filters only work if you sort your projects into categories properly. If you upload everything unsorted, the filter will be empty or confusing.

Headers, footers and menu: what you can change without touching code

There are six header styles and three footer styles to adjust the site's identity. An About page, a typography page, a contact page and a 404 page complete the base. Those pages are demo templates: the texts, the form and the contact details are yours to prepare.

What to know before choosing

The theme is aimed at photography and portfolios. For blogging it also offers post formats (standard, gallery, image, link, quote, video and audio) and classic, grid, masonry and justify layouts, with a sidebar on the left, on the right or none. It works as a work diary, but it is not a store: if you want to sell prints or licenses of your photos, you will need to handle that separately and check in the demo whether anything is provided.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a blog as well as the portfolio?

Yes, with several listing layouts and different post formats.

Can I mix gallery layouts?

They are offered as separate variants, so you can use one for your editorials and another for your commercial work. Check in the demo how each one behaves with your proportions.

Does it look good on mobile?

Test your own photos on mobile, because image weight affects speed.

The demo pages are best reproduced calmly

Before you start, gather your best images already optimized and decide your portfolio categories. Then choose a header and footer style first, and build the main gallery afterwards. Leaving the blog and secondary pages for last avoids redoing work when you change your mind about the overall design.
