About Jz Pub & Bar WordPress Theme
People choose a bar for what is happening tonight
Someone looking for a pub on their phone at seven in the evening rarely wants to read the venue's history. They want to know whether there is a game, live music or a tasting today, and whether it is worth leaving the house. The menu changes little; what changes every week is the plan.
That is why, on a bar's website the page that needs the most care is usually the events page. An up-to-date calendar tells the customer the place is alive. A calendar whose last concert was four months ago says the opposite, and it weighs more than any pretty photo.
Jz Pub is a WordPress theme made for restaurants, pubs, breweries, taverns, bars and coffee shops, with event management and a booking form for those events. That piece is the reason to look at it.
Events, drinks and staff as their own content
- Event management, with a booking form for each event.
- Content types for wines, drinks and more, instead of writing them on a loose page.
- Bartender profiles as their own content type.
- Inner header image configurable on events, posts and bartenders.
- Custom elements for Services, Drinks, Welcome, Call to Action and Gallery.
Headers, sliders and galleries
- Three header styles and two footer styles, with a footer in three or four columns.
- Five image sliders and two post sliders, plus a full-width OWL slider.
- Revolution Slider and Master Slider included.
- Blog and gallery layouts, including a masonry gallery.
- Sidebars on the left and right.
- Unlimited colors, Google Fonts and typography options.
- Unlimited social icons.
Newsletter and shop to sell beyond the counter too
The Mailchimp newsletter fits the central idea well: whoever signs up gets the calendar without having to remember to look for it. If you also want to sell products, the theme has shop support through WooCommerce.
Forms are compatible with Contact Form 7, the theme is translation ready and the options panel is Unyson's.
Tables fall outside its features
Its features do not include table reservations or an opening hours block. The booking form is for events, not a system to manage the floor. If your venue lives on its tables, you will need a separate plugin.
It is also not Gutenberg optimized: pages are built with WPBakery Page Builder, so it is worth being comfortable with that builder before choosing it.
From the Unyson panel to the first published night
Pages are built with WPBakery and the options live in Unyson. Start like this:
- Install the theme and use the one-click demo import.
- Choose a header and footer, and adjust colors and typography.
- Open Events: if you only see settings and help, turn the features on in its settings page.
- Create your real upcoming events and test the booking form.
- Load your drinks and wines, and fill the gallery with photos of the venue when it is full.
To book tables or sell food
Five Star Restaurant Reservations puts the booking form on your site, with table management and assignment.
If you also serve food, WPCafe Pro adds a menu, online ordering and table booking with floor management. And if your venue is more restaurant than bar, you can see Benoit, a theme for restaurants and cafes.
