About Kera
A fashion store is decided with a thumb, and Kera starts there
Anyone selling clothes or accessories tends to think about the catalog and forget how the customer sees it: on a small screen, in a hurry, with another tab open to compare. If the menu gets in the way or the product page is hard to grasp, that person leaves without buying. Kera is a WooCommerce theme with a clean, minimalist style, a carefully built mobile version and a mobile menu designed to reach the product without wandering around.
In fashion the product sells through the eyes, and a minimalist design leaves room for the photo instead of competing with it. That is what you want if your catalog is your best argument.
How Kera shows the product
The shop side gathers the features a fashion shopper uses every day:
- Grid or list on the shop page, plus several shop and product page layouts.
- Quick view of items.
- AJAX product search.
- Wishlist and compare, useful when someone hesitates between two garments.
- Catalog mode.
Around that there is a mega menu, a vertical menu, product and post carousels, an Instagram element, MailChimp for WordPress support, a 404 page and fields for your own CSS and JS in the theme options.
Filters by size and color need a separate plugin
Kera solves a good part of the store design, but it is not a complete store. Here is what already comes with it and what you will have to cover yourself:
- Already solved: one-click demo import, shop and product layouts, quick view, catalog mode, RTL support and compatibility with multiple languages and currencies.
- Separate plugin: product filtering. Kera is compatible with HUSKY (Products Filter for WooCommerce), but it is an add-on you install yourself.
- Separate plugin: the wishlist relies on YITH WooCommerce Wishlist, and the compare feature is compatible with YITH WooCommerce Compare.
- Separate plugin: if you want to build a multi-vendor marketplace, the theme supports it, but check in the demo which plugin it works with.
- By hand: photos, size charts, descriptions, shipping and returns texts. A theme will not write those for you.
- By hand: translations. Multilingual support prepares the ground, but the content in each language is yours.
Kera with Elementor: customize without touching code
The theme is optimized for Elementor, so the home, contact and shop pages are built with the visual editor. It also includes flexible theme options (based on Redux) and is compatible with Slider Revolution.
If you plan to edit a lot, check in the demo which elements work with free Elementor and which would require the Pro version. And remember that importing a demo is only a starting point: you will need to replace the images and texts with your own.
Questions before choosing Kera
Is it only for clothing?
It is designed as a fashion theme, but its clean style and shop structure work for other visual catalogs, such as footwear, accessories or home goods.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. It is customized with Elementor and the theme options. Your own CSS and JS are optional.
Does it work without WooCommerce?
It makes no sense without it: it is built for WooCommerce stores. It does include its own layouts for the blog.
Can I show products without selling them?
Yes, with catalog mode, which is useful if you take orders by phone, WhatsApp or in a physical store.
