About Landscop - Landscaping & Gardening WordPress Theme
A garden looks its worst on the day you finish it
It is a portfolio problem no other trade has, and it decides how this website has to be built.
A builder finishes a renovation and that day it is perfect. A photographer delivers and that day it is their best work. A landscaper finishes and what is there is freshly turned soil, small plants and everything looking like a building site. The garden the client imagined does not exist yet: it will exist in three years, when the hedges have closed and the trees give shade.
And there is the trap: if your gallery only holds photographs from handover day, you are showing the least attractive version of your work, and on top of that the one least resembling what you are selling.
Landscop is a WordPress theme for landscaping and gardening, with over eight sector demos and one-click import.
What it contributes
- Over eight demos built for the sector.
- One-click demo import, with the site running in minutes.
- An outdoor company structure: gardening services, landscaping, arboriculture and grounds care.
- Clean, current design, aimed at attracting new clients.
How the time problem gets solved
With a content decision hardly anybody takes and that changes the outcome completely.
Date every photograph and show the same job at two moments. Handover day and two or three years later. That pair of images does something nothing else achieves: it proves you know how what you plant will grow, which is exactly the client's doubt and what separates a landscaper from somebody who puts plants in.
Go back and photograph again. It takes a call to an old client and half an hour. It is the highest-return work in the sector and practically nobody does it, because when you finish a job you are already on the next.
Show the plan beside the photograph. In landscaping, as in architecture, the drawing proves there was a design and not improvisation.
And if you have just started and have no jobs with years behind them, say so and show plant knowledge: what you use, how each species behaves in your climate, how long a hedge takes to close. That expertise shows and it sells just as well.
The two businesses, separated again
The project is a large, one-off commission, decided over weeks of comparison and where the client is buying judgement. It is what fills the portfolio.
Maintenance is a monthly fee, dull, predictable and paying the wages all year. It is what hardly any site in the sector sells, and it is where the stability sits.
The maintenance page has to answer the same things as any recurring service: what each visit includes, how often you come, what happens in winter, and whether major pruning or pest treatment are separate.
Requirements
It needs WordPress. Maintenance fee billing, the visit route and online quoting get solved separately.
Alternatives in the catalogue
On the same ground, Gardener and Lawn Care focus on lawn and garden maintenance, and if you prefer building the design with Elementor templates over your current theme, Verdescape is that route.
If your weight is on the project rather than maintenance, the approach resembles a practice more: Hiroshi and Brok are built for portfolios with photographed work.
If you also do pools or cleaning, look at Poolax and FastPro, which share the recurring contract model.
And the missing pieces: WooCommerce Subscriptions for collecting the maintenance fee automatically each month, MotoPress Appointment Booking for the assessment visit, and Cost Calculator Builder for giving an estimate by area and garden type without waiting to visit.
Frequently asked questions
Which photographs should be shown?
Handover and the same job two or three years later. The pair proves you know how what you plant grows.
And if I have just started?
Show judgement: which species you use, how they behave in your climate and how long they take to close.
How many demos does it bring?
Over eight, with one-click import to have the site built in minutes.
Should I sell projects or maintenance?
Both, on separate pages. The project fills the portfolio; maintenance pays for the year.
Does it include fee billing?
No. The theme presents the service; the subscription comes from a recurring billing plugin.
What do people ask before signing a maintenance contract?
What each visit includes, how often you come, what happens in winter and whether major pruning is separate.
