About Leksa – Creative Portfolio Showcase Theme 1.0.0
A portfolio that stays a PDF in a folder does not sell
Creative professionals showing their work often run into the same problems: templates that are fine but flat, galleries that drag on mobile, or animations that hide the projects instead of showcasing them. Leksa is designed for studios, agencies and freelancers who want the website itself to be part of the work they present.
And here is a truth almost nobody tells you: a client arriving at your portfolio does not look at thirty projects, they look at the first three and decide whether you stay on their list. A theme with this much motion only pays off if you use it to guide the eye toward your best work, not to prove you can animate.
Motion in Leksa: transitions, cursor and scroll
The theme is built on Elementor and brings together the effects that define this style of website:
- AJAX page transitions: moving from one project to another happens without an abrupt reload.
- GSAP included and parallax scroll effects, so elements appear and move as you scroll.
- Smooth scroll for fluid scrolling.
- Interactive mouse cursor, which changes depending on what is under it.
- Custom page loader, with an option to enable it only on the homepage.
All of this means a lot of scripting in the browser. If your audience opens the portfolio on modest phones, test the demo on one and decide how many effects to enable.
How projects are displayed and what else Leksa includes
The portfolio side is the core: a custom grid, a switch between grid and list views, filters, an image gallery per project, Swiper-based carousels, fullscreen slideshows and showcase blocks with rotation. Project fields can even be used as a heading.
It also includes a landing page, classic and fullscreen menu styles, Google Maps, table and shopping cart widgets, and the option to convert containers into tabs or accordions (those last two features were released as beta). It has easy page settings, Google fonts and Icofonts. Compatibility between the WPML language switcher and page transitions has also been worked on.
If you also want to sell, it is compatible with WooCommerce and brings its own store styles and widgets. It works well for selling a few pieces or prints; it is not a theme designed first and foremost for a large catalog.
Is Leksa the right call for your portfolio?
It is if you want a studio website with a lot of personality and you will edit it with Elementor. If you prefer a sober portfolio with minimal load, or you work with the block editor, it is not a fit: the theme is not optimized for Gutenberg.
Do I need Elementor Pro?
The theme is built with Elementor and is listed as compatible with both Elementor and Elementor Pro. Check in the demo which specific elements you would use before deciding whether you need the paid version.
Does it work well on mobile?
It is responsive and its change history focuses heavily on the mobile version, but with this many animations you should test it on a real device.
Does it work for a blog or a corporate site?
It can, since it includes blog styles and is flexible, but its strength is the visual portfolio.
Which forms does it support?
It is listed as compatible with Contact Form 7. It does not include its own booking or quote form system.
