About Listivo – Classified Ads & Directory Listing Theme

Nobody pays to stand out on an empty site

You open your classifieds portal with three well-presented paid packages. The first seller arrives, sees a few ads and no activity, and asks the awkward question: stand out against whom? They close the page without posting anything.

A classifieds site sells visibility, and that merchandise appears once people are already searching. That is why the order in which you turn on your charges matters more than the figure you put on each one.

Listivo, by TangibleWP, is a theme for classified ads and directories in any category, with pages, headers and footers editable in Elementor. It comes with 11 one-click demos and a monetization system made of separate pieces: you can start by giving away posting and activate each form of payment once the site has something to sell.

Four ways to charge, to switch on in turn

  • Free packages, one for new users and a general one, with duration, featured days and bumps.
  • Paid packages, with price, text, featured status and the categories where they are offered. They are paid at the WooCommerce checkout.
  • Bump Up, a separate package type: the ad moves to the top of the first page of its category once a day for a limited time.
  • Monthly Stripe subscriptions, where each plan sets how many ads, what duration, how many featured days and how many bumps. They allow a free plan, and users change plans from their account.

A free package fills the board while visitors arrive. Bump Up and featured ads make sense once an ad is competing with others.

One form for the car and another for the apartment for rent

Each category has its own form and its own filters, so someone selling a car and someone renting out an apartment answer different questions. Visitors get suggestions as they type, see results change without a reload and can search on the map or by radius.

  • User panel to post, edit and promote ads, with favorites and a public profile.
  • Contact through private on-site messages, with email and SMS alerts, plus WhatsApp and Viber buttons. The phone number can stay hidden until the visitor clicks to see it.
  • Control with a single queue to approve, decline or edit ads, phone verification before posting, and reCAPTCHA.
  • Extras such as reviews and ratings, ad comparison, social login, a blog and automatic landing pages for search.

Traffic, languages and payments

Traffic is still yours to find. Attracting buyers and sellers remains on your side.

One language per site. It accepts any language, including right-to-left ones, one at a time.

Payments need outside pieces. Paid packages go through WooCommerce and the gateway you choose, and subscriptions require Stripe with its keys and webhook.

What gets charged is the ad. Packages and subscriptions are paid by the advertiser. There is no payment of the sale between buyer and seller among its features.

Server and first ads

The server must accept these minimums: memory_limit of 256M, upload_max_filesize and post_max_size of 32M, max_execution_time and max_input_time of 300, and max_input_vars of 10000. Then follow this order:

  1. Install the theme and import the demo closest to your market.
  2. In Listivo Panel, fill in the logo, contact details, number separators and currency.
  3. Choose a map provider and translate the texts in Translate/Rename.
  4. Create the fields for each category and place them on the pages where they should show, because a new field does not appear until then.
  5. Tick Enabled under Monetization with free packages only, and leave the paid ones for later.

Three themes to compare depending on what you will publish

Classima is built on Classified Listing Pro and comes with real-time chat between buyer and seller, plus a form builder with 37 field types.

If your advertisers need to take bookings, Listeo handles them by day, by time slot or with a ticket and QR code. For a portal focused on vehicles, look at Motors.

WooCommerce and maps on your ad board

Do I need WooCommerce?

For paid packages, yes: Listivo asks you to install it if it is missing. Free packages are set in its panel and subscriptions are charged through Stripe.

Can I do without Google Maps?

You can display OpenStreetMap, although geocoding with that provider requires a Google Maps key.
