About LoveIcon – Nonprofit Charity Elementor Template

Launching a nonprofit website usually stalls on the same things: a small team, no designer, and the need to show in a single visit what the organization does, who is behind it and how to help. LoveIcon is an Elementor template kit designed for charities and fundraising sites, with the pages that kind of organization needs already laid out.

A nonprofit doesn't lose donors for lack of design, but for lack of a path

Someone arriving at a charity site almost always has a specific doubt: is this real?, what do they do with what I give?, how do I sign up as a volunteer? If the site makes them hunt for the answer, they leave. That's why it helps to go through the kit thinking about the visitor's path, not the look.

Step 1: pick the front page from three Home variants

The kit includes three different front pages (Home 01, Home 02 and Home 03). Your job is to decide what you want visitors to see first: the cause, the offer of help or the team. Trying all three on draft pages costs little and saves redoing the front page later.

Step 2: build trust with About, Team and Testimonials

The kit includes the About, Team and Testimonials pages. Here the kit only provides the structure: names, faces and stories must be real and yours. A filler testimonial on a nonprofit site is obvious and does more harm than an empty section.

Step 3: give people a way to act with Events and Contact

It includes an events page and an event details page. The contact page uses Metform, the plugin that generates the forms. The form is imported as a separate template and inserted into the Metform widget, a step worth keeping in mind so it doesn't show up empty.

  • Included pages: three Home pages, About, Team, Testimonials, FAQ, 404, Event, Event Details and Contact.
  • Also: Header, Footer and global theme styles.
  • Plugins it requires: Elementor, ElementsKit Lite, Elementor Header, Footer & Blocks and Metform.

What LoveIcon doesn't solve: collecting donations

This is where expectations cross the most. The kit provides the design and structure of a charity site, but the plugins it asks for handle layout and forms, not payment gateways. If you want to receive donations online, you'll need to add a payment solution yourself and check how it fits with the buttons in the design. Nor is it a complete theme: it is a kit imported page by page with the Template Kit Import plugin.

Another practical detail: the demo images come from Envato Elements and are not meant to be used as they are. The usual approach is to replace them with your own photos of your activity, which also work better for a charitable cause.
