Choosing a multipurpose theme usually ends in one of two extremes: one so generic that you have to redo everything, or one so tied to a sector that it's useless for your next client. Magic aims at the middle ground: a colorful, creative design with interchangeable pieces, useful for a portfolio, a blog, a business site or a small shop.

It suits you if you want to start from a ready-made demo and tweak colors, typography and headers from the customizer, or if you work with a page builder and prefer dragging modules instead of touching code.

It doesn't suit you if you need a very sector-specific feature (bookings, directories, courses): it is a general theme and you would have to add those pieces with other plugins. Nor if you want to sell without installing WooCommerce: the shop depends on that plugin and the theme only dresses it up. And if you want a sober, neutral design, its colorful look will make you work against it.

Seven headers and four blog styles so two Magic sites don't look alike

The header is the first thing visitors see, and here there are seven ready-to-use styles, with additional options to adjust them. They combine with different page templates and with boxed or full-width layouts, with the sidebar on the left, on the right or absent.

The blog offers four styles with different numbers of columns and several post formats. For portfolios and galleries there are templates with configurable hover effects, made for those who make a living showing images.

Power, Elementor and Revolution Slider: several tools to build the same page

Magic ships with its own builder, Power, with more than 25 modules, a library of presets and drag and drop. Among the included plugins there are also Elementor and JetElements, with modules such as pricing tables. Before mixing the two on the same site, check in the demo which one each page uses, so you don't end up with two layout systems at once.

TM Wizard installs the demo, but leaves you with a lot of plugins to look after

The TM Wizard assistant imports the necessary plugins and the demo content, and can generate a child theme so you can customize safely. There are demos in styles such as Web Studio, Business, Commercial, Creative, Personal, Minimal, Interior or Coming Soon.

The trade-off is that the package brings along quite a few plugins: Revolution Slider, TM Gallery, Cherry Projects, Cherry MegaMenu, Cherry Services, TM WooCommerce Pack and others. After importing the demo, review which ones you really use and deactivate the rest, because every extra plugin weighs on the site.

Under the hood, the theme uses Bootstrap with flexbox and the Cherry 5 framework, with clean, commented code, ready to be translated into any language. It also includes PSD files for basic pages and blocks, useful if a designer is going to work on the base.

Questions before choosing Magic

Is it suitable for an online shop?

Yes, it is prepared for WooCommerce and includes shop widgets and a plugin pack. You do need to install WooCommerce, though; the theme doesn't sell on its own.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The customizer and the builders cover the visual work. If one day you want to touch code, it is meant to be clean and commented.

Can I use it in another language?

Yes, it is ready to be translated into any language.

Does it include files for designers?

It includes a PSD pack with the basic pages and blocks.
