A personal portfolio usually fails in one of two ways: a generic template that could belong to anyone, or a custom site that never gets finished because every change depends on someone else. If you work as a freelance designer, developer, photographer or artist, you need something already built that you can tweak yourself.
Your portfolio is the first thing people look at, and they look fast
Nobody hires you for your full résumé: they compare you in a tab against ten other profiles and decide by what they see first. That is why the first screen matters more than the list of services. Me – Creative Portfolio & Resume / CV WordPress Theme is designed for that kind of profile: freelancers, artists, photographers and also personal pages, with the option of a single page or several.
What you can build with Me
- One page or several: there is a one-page layout (with a menu that scrolls through sections) and a multi-page one, depending on how much material you have.
- Visual Composer: this is the page builder used to assemble sections by dragging blocks, with components made for the theme.
- Slider Revolution: it is used for animated covers. There is also a full-screen background slider.
- Typography: you choose from more than 600 Google Fonts families in the options panel, or load your own font. Montserrat, Raleway and Font Awesome are included.
- Wide or boxed layout, unlimited sidebars, footer widgets, social links and custom page templates.
- Forms with Contact Form 7: the theme is compatible, but the plugin is installed separately.
- Multilingual: it is compatible with WPML and includes .pot files for translation. WPML is a separate plugin.
What to know before you commit
The demo images are not included in the package: you will have to add your own, and in a portfolio that is exactly what decides things. It is also not a shop theme, so if you want to sell prints or services online you will need to add another solution. And since the theme relies on a page builder and a slider, if you plan to remove those plugins, reconsider whether it suits you.

It works for both: it is designed as a portfolio and CV/Resume, and also for personal pages.
Does it look good on mobile?
It is responsive and ready for retina screens. Even so, check the demo on your own phone before deciding.
Can I change it without touching code?
Yes, with the page builder and the theme and page options. If you want to go further, it accepts custom CSS and includes a child theme.
Does it work with Internet Explorer?
It states compatibility with the major browsers, including IE9 and later.
Can I design in Photoshop first?
Yes, the package includes PSD files so you can prepare your changes before building them.
The demos load with content ready to replace
Me includes demo import, with content and sliders, and a one-click installer. The practical approach is to import the demo, see how each section is built and replace texts and images with your own rather than starting from scratch. Prepare your work beforehand, exported and at a reasonable file size, because the design depends on it. If you will use several languages, set up WPML after the base content is finished, not before.
