A restaurant or bar rarely loses customers for lack of information. It loses them because the menu is a PDF that opens badly on a phone, the photos look ten years old, or the website takes too long to make clear what you serve and what the place feels like. Melograno is a theme built for that problem: showing the atmosphere and the menu without making visitors hunt for them.
From first glance to the menu: a hungry customer's journey
Picture someone looking for a place to have dinner who lands on your site from a phone. Here is what they find and what Melograno solves at each step:
- Home page: the Home template includes a full screen slideshow. It is the place for your best photos of the venue and the dishes, because the first thing people see is imagery, not text.
- Navigation: the theme offers an overlay menu.
- The menu: Melograno displays food and drinks with a filter by section. Visitors can view the different sections of the menu with ease.
- Atmosphere: the gallery template lets you create several galleries, for example everyday photos or each event, which open in a lightbox.
- Contact and social media: the integrated social media menu comes with 28 icons, and there is styling ready for the Contact Form 7 plugin.
Keep one limit of this journey in mind: the theme presents the menu, but it does not manage it as an ordering system. If you want customers to book or order from the site, you will need a separate tool.
