About Menuar for Elementor
Menuar for Elementor is a widget built to create the navigation menu with visual controls instead of loose CSS.
A menu you design the same way as the rest of the page
Menuar is a widget you can place anywhere on a page, not just in the header. You can use several navigations on the same page and in different areas of the site, in horizontal or vertical layout.
Mobile menu: your own icon, logo and background
This is the most practical part for designers:
- You choose the toggle icon for mobile and its position.
- You upload your own logo for the mobile menu.
- You add a background to the open menu.
- You adjust alignment and behavior by device (desktop, tablet, mobile).
- You can close the mobile menu when an anchor link is clicked, handy for long one-page layouts.
Submenus with the position, animation and indicator you want
The submenu can appear above or below, or be offset along the X or Y axis. You can choose its animation and upload your own icon for the indicator (the arrow that signals another level), or use Font Awesome icons with an integrated picker. It supports several levels and you can decide whether it closes on click or when the mouse leaves.
For styling there are controls for size, typography, colors, background and border, with separate states for normal, hover and active. It comes with 5 starter templates that work more as inspiration than as a finished design.
Post counters and WooCommerce categories
If the menu lists categories, it can show how many posts each one has, which is useful on content-heavy blogs. It also supports WooCommerce categories, so it works for simple store navigation.
Menus are created in WordPress, not invented here
It helps to be clear about the boundaries. This is what it already solves and what you will have to cover elsewhere:
- Solved: visual menu design, mobile version, submenus, states, icons and category counters.
- Solved: translation, thanks to the included pot file, and right-to-left (RTL) writing.
- On your own: it is an Elementor add-on, so you need Elementor installed and a site built with it.
- On your own: it is not a mega menu with content blocks, images or a search box inside the dropdown.
- On your own: the link structure (which pages, in what order) is up to you; the widget only presents it.
It works with themes built with Elementor and is compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge. Check in the demo how a multi-level submenu behaves on mobile before deciding.
