About Modak – One Page WordPress Theme

A portfolio for an agency or a photographer often suffers from two problems: a site that is hard to edit without a developer nearby, and a design that looks like everyone else's. Modak is a one-page theme designed for agencies, photography and personal websites, with content blocks you build visually and a customizer where you see changes before publishing.

Clients look at your work before they read your text

In a portfolio, the client decides at a glance whether your style fits. That is why how you arrange what you show matters more than how much you write. Modak organizes the homepage in content blocks that can be reused across all pages, so you can put your best projects first and leave the rest below, without fighting with code.

Live customizer with Kirki

From the Customize menu you control most of the design and see the result before publishing:

  • Colors, typography (with Google Fonts), spacing and backgrounds.
  • Image or text logo.
  • Turning major elements on or off.
  • Three header styles and column options for the footer.

It is a good base if you want to adjust your visual identity without touching a line of CSS.

Modak and Elementor: the free version is enough

The theme is built for the free version of Elementor, and the demo is made only with it. Buying the Pro version is optional, but if you later want paid features you will have to purchase it separately. Elementor lets you design on the frontend itself, with real-time results.

The blog adapts too

If you also publish articles or case studies, you can choose between three page layouts (no sidebar, left sidebar or right sidebar) and three post styles: classic, masonry or a grid of 2 or 3 columns. The sidebar is set globally and can be changed post by post or page by page. There is also a blank page template, with no header or footer.

Forms and SEO need other plugins

This is what Modak solves and what you will have to cover yourself:

  • Already solved: HTML5 and CSS3 code on Bootstrap 5, responsive design, Schema.org markup, a social media widget, a .pot file for translation, a child theme included and one-click demo data import.
  • Separate plugin: the contact form is compatible with Contact Form 7, which you must install yourself.
  • Separate plugin: to get the most out of SEO and speed, the theme itself recommends combining it with SEO and cache plugins.
  • On you: your texts, your photos and the setup of each form.

It is not a store either: if you plan to sell prints or services online, you will need to add that part on your own.

Frequently asked questions about Modak

Yes, it includes a .pot file to translate its texts.

Can I replicate the demo?

Yes, with the one-click demo data import, and then you change contents and styles to your liking.

It is compatible with Contact Form 7, but the plugin is installed separately.
