About Motivec – Conference and Events WordPress Theme
Sponsors read your conference website too
You prepare the site for whoever buys a ticket: program, speakers and price. But there is another reader with a different question, the brand wondering whether to put its logo on your event. It cares about how many people you expect, who takes the stage and which other brands it would appear next to.
Motivec is an Elementor theme for conferences, seminars, exhibitions, festivals, meetups and webinars. Its demo home page brings together pieces for both readers. What is worth planning is which figures and names you show, because that data also works to sell sponsorships.
Blocks for those who attend and those who sponsor
For the attendee, the first demo home page includes:
- Program by day, with sessions and time slots.
- Speakers with their role and a link to their profile.
- Ticket cards with a price and a list of what each one includes.
- Register and ticket buttons in the header and the main area.
For the sponsor, the same home page offers:
- Logo carousel, presented in the demo as platinum sponsors.
- Counters for investors, speakers and sponsors.
- Event data, such as expected guests and floor space.
- Gallery and testimonials, to show the atmosphere.
Pages, design and translation
The package brings several home pages and their inner pages: about, history, plans, FAQ, shop and contact. There are event listing and detail pages, two speaker styles with a detail page, and a blog in grid or classic view.
Colors and typography change from the theme options with a live preview, using Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts or your own fonts. It also accepts custom CSS, JavaScript and HTML, and includes a child theme, a timeline element and AJAX pagination. WPML can translate its Elementor elements and ACF fields.
Tickets, shop and what is missing at the door
Selling relies on WooCommerce, which provides products, a cart, price filters and payment with PayPal or Stripe. Motivec is compatible with The Events Calendar. Before opening sales, try a complete purchase with the path you choose.
Its features do not include QR code scanning at the entrance, capacity control or a sponsor area. The demo menu does not include a sponsorship page either, so you will need to create one with Elementor if you plan to offer packages.
The demo images are not included: they are replaced by placeholders or free images. Set aside photos from past editions and authorized logos.
Installing the demo and loading your program
You need WordPress and Elementor. WooCommerce comes in if you want a shop or sales, and WPML if you publish in several languages. The theme is not optimized for Gutenberg.
- Install the theme and activate the plugins it suggests.
- Import one of the home pages with the one-click importer.
- Load your program, your speakers and your tickets.
- Replace the sample counters with your real figures.
- Create the sponsorship page and link it in the menu.
- Make a test purchase and check the site on a phone.
If tickets matter more than sponsorship
Exhibz includes ticket sales with Eventin on WooCommerce and seminar management with Zoom. ITConf focuses on professional conferences, with a speakers module, a program and WooCommerce sales.
If you prefer to keep selling on Eventbrite, Eventbrite Tickets connects that platform with The Events Calendar.
