A fan arrives from a link, hits play, clicks through to another page and the music cuts out. For an artist or a label that is a serious flaw, because the site existed to show exactly that: the sound. Musart is a theme designed to keep the listener on the page.
The music doesn't stop when visitors keep browsing
Musart's audio player supports playlists and continuous playback. An album, a set or the label's latest releases can keep playing while the visitor checks the dates or the photos.
That detail matters more than any visual effect. Someone who books a venue or writes about music decides in a few clicks whether they like what they hear, and they won't press play again on every page.
Musart brings discography, events and galleries into WPBakery Page Builder
The theme includes the blocks a music website needs and lays them out with WPBakery Page Builder, so you can rearrange them without touching code:
- Audio player with playlists.
- Events list for your upcoming dates.
- Discography to organize albums, singles or the label's catalog.
- Photo gallery and video gallery, with a video button that opens a popup.
- Page banners and parallax effect to give each section presence.
- Instagram feed and Twitter feed to show your social networks inside the site.
It also includes Slider Revolution, useful for a home page with several images or messages. The social sharing buttons help listeners pass your music on to others.
White or dark demo, boxed or full width
There are two demos, one with a white style and one dark, and each imports with a single click. It is the quickest way to see how the theme looks before changing anything. For a one-page project, smooth anchor scrolling lets visitors jump from the music to the gigs and the contact section without changing screens.
You can choose a boxed or full-width page layout, change fonts with the Google Fonts selector, and rely on a design that adapts to mobile and is ready for Retina screens. It is translation ready, which is handy if your audience doesn't speak a single language.
One warning: the images you see in the demo are for display only and are not included in the package. Prepare your own photos, covers and videos before building the site.
Is Musart the right theme if you need to sell music or tickets?
Musart is for showing and playing your work, not for managing sales. What it offers is presentation (player, events, discography, galleries). If you want to sell records, merchandise or tickets from your own site, the sensible route is to link to your sales platform or add a separate store plugin, and to check in the demo how the button looks next to each event or record.
The theme also relies on WPBakery Page Builder: if you already work with another builder, you will have to adapt to this one.
Does it work for a label with several artists?
Yes, it is designed for labels, bands, artists, DJs and producers. It is worth testing it in the demo with the size of your catalog.
Can I choose between a light and a dark background?
Yes: the two demos use white and dark styles, and you can import whichever you prefer with one click.
Does the music keep playing when the page changes?
The theme includes a player with continuous playback. Check in the demo how it behaves with the way you navigate before deciding.
Does it work well on mobile?
It is mobile-friendly and Retina ready. Still, check your images and videos on a phone, because most of your listeners will arrive from there.
